Pen Drawing E18 Ashby

Hello, my friends!

This is my pen drawing of Ashby. First, I drew the sketch of Ashby. His black coat is the main focus of this drawing. I drew an egg shape for the head and then marked the places for the eyes and nose. From there, I continued to draw the other parts by estimating the right positions.

After I finished the sketch, I started drawing detailed shades for his head. I shaded the left side of his face. In fact, Ashby's entire face is meant to be filled with shades of different colors, but it's not easy to draw all these detailed shades with a single pen. So, I left it as it was without adding more shading, which created a reflective effect.

Then, I continued adding shading to his coat. When drawing the shades for this coat, I first drew the outline of the shadow areas. In pen drawing, the way lines cross in different directions is key because that's how we create depth and shade. I filled the shaded areas completely dark because I wanted a solid black for the coat. After that, I drew shading lines for the background. Finally, I finished my pen drawing by filling in a few necessary areas of shade.
