Which is your favorite Mango ?
Mangoes come and go between March to July, like proposals on a matrimony portal, you will be disappointed if you don’t eat during this time.
Our summer is harsh, forcing us to take a break from garden activities, but nature is kind enough to give us the most exciting fruit in summer, without much effort. This year, some plants have it in abundance and some are deserted, and we have some mango plants around our society following that pattern.
This plant is near to our temple, visible from our balcony and bed room and see the view it presents.
They have survived two thunder storms so most likely they are strong to hold, and survived from human attacks because of being sour until ripen.
This plant looks deserted from outside, but closer look reveals some inside.
Very tasty even in raw, but out of reach, so they are surviving too.
A plant extending from our neighborhood to our society, but the space does not allow throwing stones, as it would directly fall in someone's house - so kids have spared it.
And this plant in the front garden, has a special story. It has two branches, each producing different varieties - one is sour and one is sweet.
Their texture even clearly distinguishes them, the right side is sweet so kids have taken most of that.
And look at this plant, of our neighbor, which has extended branches to our side but no mangoes this side - the plant knows to protect itself from attack by not giving fruits. I have very good relationship with them and the very first mango that we ate was given by them from this plant. So I went to their house from the other side to capture some nice shots.
They are very tasty and are fully organic, no chemical spray. We exchange goods with each other, whenever I go to my native, I bring something for them.
I often get Drumsticks from them - another pure natural product.
This year, they have got lot of Chikoo (sapota) and we have already got lot of them couple of times - super tasty like sugar - ants can recognize that.
Another exotic fruit in development in their garden - has power to prevent Sun stroke, can you name this ? If not, then I will post about it when I get it from their garden.

I do love mango, and it is very difficult to get good ones where I now live. I am so jealous.
Owner's pride, neighbors envy 😊
The only mango I get is in the tropical ipa we brew and it is not really mango. ;) 🥭
We just purchased a couple for my daughter to try as a snack and part of fruit salad. She liked them week enough but I just know your fresh organic ones would be superior to the ones we get in the grocery store here nowhere near where they grow.
Awesome work my friend!
We will have the party till late July - different varieties, different flavors and quite affordable as well.
Amazingly, you will have a party in late July with a variety of Mango 🥭 flavors; I am awaiting this wonderful party if you invite me.
Mango happens to be one of my best fruits. I remember when I was young, then in primary and secondary school. How we use to pluck and climb mango trees around the school areas, even including the one that doesn't belong to our school. There was a time we were pursued by dogs on several occasions just because of mango. The kind of mango I like most is called 'seri Mango' in my dialect. I don't know what that is called over there.
I have a very funny real story around that, may be will share some time. I know that feeling, our kids won't have opportunity like that 😀
That is true. This Gen Z won't have such experience. Computer and mobile phone is all they care about. I can say it is no longer fun as it used to be then.
"Such a poetic comparison! How do you always find such creative ways to express simple things like mango season?"
We have plenty of mangoes over here too because this is the season and I'm really eating them this period like never before.
How wonderful, today I learned more about this delicious fruit. When I lived in Argentina it was very difficult to get it or very expensive, but here in Spain there is always some. The thing is that sometimes I got some delicious ones and other times they tasted very strange and I didn't understand why. Now I understand, there are sour and sweet ones, I think I like the sweet ones best.
On the other hand they are very beneficial for health, they have a lot of vitamins and in large quantities. I was delighted to see the tree, I had never seen it like that. Nature is wonderful. Thank you very much!

Yes, the sweet ones are the best and few varieties are as sweet as like honey.
What a delight indeed! Thank you!

We have mango trees in our backyard and I think they already have fruit. Oh, I can't wait to go home to our province for this!
Our mangoes are now ripe on the tree and they are very tasty. Amarupali is one of my favorites.
I also like Amarupali very much, it not only tastes sweet, but has a lovely aroma.
Wow😀, So you too love Mangoes, @sanjeevm! They are one of my favorites. In fact, we are really pounding on it now in my country because we are in the real season 😀🥰
Good afternoon, dear friend @sanjeevm
How great to see those plants loaded with mango fruit. And what a curious fact: the tree has two branches, one of which has sour mangoes, and the other has delicious mangoes. I must say I've never experienced anything like this before.
How great that neighbors exchange produce; it speaks volumes about the good relationship there is.
Beautiful shots. Enjoy those exquisite mangoes.
I love mangoes and dashari, chusa are my favourite ones.
Chausa is best and my favorite mango, after our home grown variety. Nothing else tastes sweeter like it.
The truth is that mangoes are the fruit that requires the least, let's say, specific care, so we should take advantage of their season. As for my favorites, I can really eat any of them as long as they're ripe.
Chikoo and mango both are yummiest...and seriously when we get them from the tree the direct taste is fabulous....
I love most seasonal fruits and I try to have as many as I can when they are in season because I believe that is nature telling me something, hehe.
I don’t recognize that plant. I will try to look out for that post when you share what it is.
That's very true, nature gives what we need and they are the real healers. Every season has a specific fruit or berry and we should eat only those during that season.
Yeah, the fact that they are seasonal should give us a clue that they are important to our bodies at that point.
ahhhhh mango!!! 😉🤤 i do luv em. i like mine to be just ripe with a small spot of red on the outside. ummmmmmmm.
I can only get mango from supermarkets and they come from south America, nothing great really... I prefer papaya, but yours must surely be better than supermarket ones!
Here in Venezuela the climate is very similar in addition to having different varieties of Mango plants🥭at our disposal, for example here my favorites are these that we call "Dudú" but unfortunately they are just beginning to grow and perhaps they will be there in the next few months.
Yes, they depend on climate, and may be the grow season is little delayed at your place.
These are my favorites, let's say they are the normal ones and we can find them almost everywhere, besides being very tasty to eat green or ripe, although they are now being developed.
The mango fruit looks very sweet, I really like it ❤️😘
Mangoes in summer are the best! I absolutely love the sweet, juicy ones from our backyard. There's something so special about picking them fresh from the tree. 😋🍋
Ratnagiri Alfonoso....the best.....no other varieties can beat it. But I rely on local varieties because of availability.
for us, it's more about saving mangoes from monkeys.
The texture and color very well testify to this claim.
A must for "Odia Dalma". Rich in iron.
Thank you.

🙏🙏🙏
I have never tasted Ratnagiri Alfonoso, from where do you get it ?
It is a world-famous mango variety from India(Maharastra, Ratnagiri). Western Ghats climate is very conducive to Alfonso. You might get it in the Bhubaneshwar fruit market. I am not sure though.
Last year I tasted it in Nagpur.
I love mangoes, but of course so expensive in the UK as imported! My favourite ones are sweet ones.
Ya, it will be expensive with import duty, high level of humidity required to grow the plant, hence you don't have them. The summer is harsh, but this is the gift for tolerating it :)
Yes there is often a gift for suffering things ... and those are tasty gifts!
In our area, mangoes usually bear fruit from June to August. I really like eating honey mangoes, but I don't like eating sour fruit.
Mangos are actually one of my favourite fruit I must confess. They always give me this special feelings every single time

This is so true! That's why we take advantage of this season to buy mangoes. There are different kind of mangoes here, and we're not buying because some people give a lot to us.
!LUV
That's nice.
I love the native kind because it was used in different dishes too.
I love the native kind because it was used in different dishes too.
I don't know much about varieties - but living in Thailand I understood one thing: not always a beautiful appearance means that it is very tasty. Sometimes I took a green-looking mango and not very beautiful, but it tasted amazing. And in the future I bought mango from this seller.
chunsa is my favorite mango
Mine too.
I am sure most of the world is jealous of your mangoes! Yum. It's good you have a good relationship with your neighbour too.
