The Gardener in charge

She has to be ready to take care in my absence - June Hive Garden Journal

The gardner in charge.png

Irrespective of all the challenges, I have tried to preserve some Chrysanthemums mother plants this year , so that I can create saplings from them in July. So far I was able to manage to water them, or ask our gardener to water those plants, when I go to my native. But unfortunately, he has not come for last couple of weeks and most likely he may quit, that's what I heard from other staff. So finally the time came to delegate my duty to her and she happily stepped in, when I asked her for help. The boy is also trained, but as he was suffering from fever, we needed a second help. He has recovered now after taking three doses of night-blooming jasmine syrup, so the mother son duo are in charge of the garden, as I had to come to my native for the final mango yield.

One of her friend had asked to give a curry leaves plant, so after growing this for more than couple of months, this was sent to her house.

20250601_165154.jpg

20250601_165145.jpg

I brought these Chrysanthemums plants to the front area, after taking care of them, giving organic fertilizers - they need to grow fast now.

20250601_171812.jpg

Cleaned up the area as the mother son duo are a little scared of snakes, I keep telling them - they are just one another species who co-exist in this universe and won't do any harm, unless you have some real bad times. Death out of snake bite and lightening will only happen, only if it's written in your destiny, but we need to be careful ( I don't deny that part). You can't live a good life with fear, so they are now comfortable, being careful.

20250601_171850.jpg

These inca plants were trial and error of this summer season, but because of continuous rain, they did not grow as expected, so I have given up on them. One other rare Chrysanthemums plant also died and it pinched me inside, but slowly I am learning to accept and move on.

20250601_165523.jpg

Then finally I called her to explain everything - watering the plants is not simple because of all the mess created by our staffs - she has to first make sure the pump is running, and only then water would come. So I had to take her and show that place, explain how she would know when its running or turn it on, then come here and water the plant and make sure she turns off the tap before leaving, else no one will notice it. The pump will automatically cut, when the tank is full.

Our Supervisor promised me to provide water supply here but he forgets them very quickly after taking monetary help from me - the world is full of people who have a very little sense of accountability but we have to find the gold in that.

20250601_171923.jpg

And here comes her reward - every good work has to have some reward.

20250601_165759.jpg

At times she keeps saying, in next birth I will be your plant - you love them more than me 😍 Life is like a garden - we are free to manifest anything - your wish will come true !!!

Any idea why I am wearing a full T-shirt in this harsh summer ?

Watering plants is not as easy as one might think, you have to be cautious so that you don't end up killing the plants, I see the garden is not looking too bad.

I have experienced that if we are giving organic fertilizers to corps plants it will grow fast with our carefulness. Yes, being careful we can find better life.

One needs to be very careful in watering the plants because improper watering might stress their growth. Good job my friend.

Such a beautiful post, I love your wife's smile, they are beautiful 😍. I also don't like snakes, the thought of it sometimes scares me, so I understand their complaints.

Actually, snakes scare me. Those are one of the reasons why we don't have a lot of plants but I really wanted to have one.

The plant pots are overwhelming! Maybe I just say it because I don't have any in my flower garden. I just planted directly into the ground without using pots. But I think using pots is advantageous at some point - you can always move your plants when they lack sunlight or put them in shady areas when they have enough. You can take them to better spaces whenever you want some changes in your garden - it's easier. I didn't think about it before, so every time I want to move some plants, I always need to take them up from the ground and dig another hole where I want to put them, and I think it's disturbing them. Lately, I haven't made any changes with them. It was because I got busy with my vegetable garden and I don't focus much on ornamental plants.

Happy gardening! 💚

Watering is never beee easy! When my husband watering my plants, I always tell him bla bla bla 🤣

Well, like in Indonesia, we need to dress like power range to protect the skin from sunlight and heat ehehehe

Good morning, dear friends @sanjeevm

It's great to know that your wife and son will be taking care of the garden in your absence. They'll undoubtedly do a great job. I wish them much success.

Regarding your question, I believe you're wearing long-sleeved clothing to avoid the sun and insect bites.

Have a nice day.

Excellent friend who delegates the gardening work to his wife and son while he's away so he can see the mango harvest to bring home and share with family and friends. I imagine he wears a full shirt because of the pests, or some other animal serves as protection, even if the summer is very harsh.

I once killed some of my vegetables due to improper watering, but I've learned now.

Your garden looks healthy and beautiful.

He wears a long-sleeved shirt to protect himself from the sun's rays, and I imagine the bites from both animals and plants. It's incredible that your wife has the same dedication to your garden as you do. It's truly a great team effort.

Great friend who, with the help of his wife, can water and take care of the garden plants while he is away harvesting mangoes, which he has managed to maintain with so much effort.

It's a good thing that all of you family members work together to protect this garden. Unless the flowers are protected and watered on time, they won't grow well at all. And in the same way, when we help each other, we feel much happier and more like family.
