Have you started with the garden ?
What is it like now?
Four months gone since our society wanted me to remove my pots from the garden as they wanted to make it a playground and build the other park as garden. They were in such hurry that, they wanted me to vacate the place immediately which I did, but it feels so frustrating to see nothing has happened since then.
People do not keep their commitment and that is the biggest problem I face in my life, because once I commit, I try to accomplish that before hand - I am a person of my words. I asked the society members about their plan and they still say, their plan has not changed, but hey, gardening season starts from this month end, and I don't like to regret later for not doing something that I should have done.
So before coming to my native I decided to bring out the Chrysanthemums mother plants that I preserved, about which I wrote in this post. As its raining heavily, they are not growing as expected in that corner, so I took it all myself, removed all those big sheets lying around and showed them sunshine which they need.
Look at that plant in the middle which I borrowed from Mom from my native. A single stem has grown to such a beautiful bunch with so many yellow flowers. Hopefully Chrysanthemums plants will grow better now and I can prepare some saplings from them in early August. And all good work has it rewards, and after a very long time, I discovered a precious gift from nature.
I never thought even in my wild imagination that these cute little sand mushrooms would come up in this part of the garden. If you have eaten them, then you know but those who don't know, these are the tastiest mushroom that are almost in verge of extinct in urban areas. I just shared one photo from above in my whatsapp status and there were many requests - please give us, where did you find them ? I had to keep quiet.....
Once I found them at one place, I could not control my curiosity to search over the entire garden and I was not disappointed.
They are super soft, so you have to take them out very carefully.
A hour of search and find operation yielded this much and I was so happy because kids had never tasted this.
It's a little bit of extra work to clean them nicely, but our generation knows how to do that. The lady prepared them well and when the kids tasted in the evening, they were amazed with the taste and asked can we grow them ?
Hey kids, there are some unique offerings from Nature, which you can never grow - stay close to Nature and you may get an opportunity to enjoy some niche items, which does not sell in market. And be thankful when you get them - she always deserves a wholehearted gratitude.

I agree! They are very cute mushrooms!! Your garden is absolutely beautiful!!
This is common in societies where people just pretend that everyone is a family. Surely there is some other reason behind getting your plants removed.
Rainy season is the best time for mushrooms to grow and these little blooms were probably waiting for this season. You must be well versed with mushrooms, otherwise you should not eat mushrooms at all without knowing. Glad to know these were tasty! 😋
Yes, this particular one is the tastiest one and I know them from my childhood and can instantly recognize. Our kids won't have all these privileges..
Oh wow, ye to.. bahut hi kamaal ki baat hai bhai. Kyunki sach kahun to Google bhi mushrooms ki sateek jaankari nahi deta.
would you mind, If I tag you in my mushroom posts so you can tell me about that mushroom?
main roz publish nahi karta wo posts par mere yahan kai baar bahut exotic mushrooms ugte hain. jaise last year koi hourse mushroom uga dekha tha that was big aur wo akela more than 250 grams ka raha hoga. Par mujhe uske bare mein na yahan na Google par kahin sateek jaankari nahi mili.
Hello dear friend @sanjeevm, good morning.
It's a shame the consortium didn't keep their promise to build the playground. If they didn't intend to do it immediately, they wouldn't have been so demanding that you remove your beautiful plants from that spot.
What a wonderful reward you've received, and best of all, these mushrooms are edible. It's great that the children enjoyed such a delicious dish.
Thank you so much for sharing this experience.
Have a wonderful day.
Nature is a blessing to us, imagine seeing those mushrooms you didn't plant. Am sure your kids will also enjoy them
Sjr these mushrooms are very tasty.
I live in a village and we cook these mushrooms in our home quite often.
Yes if we live close to the nature we may experience these kind of special moments...
Unfortunately young generation is unaware from this tasty and wonderful mushroom...
My favourite sentence from your todays blog is "I am a person of my words" .
A man should accomplish his commitment at any cost.
Sand mushrooms grow best when they start to spread out on the ground. I really enjoy eating this type of mushroom, which is full of freshness.
Yes, always fresh and tasty.
Looking good! My garden is a hot mess of weeds! I'll probably try to fix that tonight or this weekend. We will have to see. When I was a kid we would grow mushrooms in a cardboard box in the coat closet because it was dark, cool, and damp in there.
So finally the garden is getting fixed, great news. These sand mushrooms come on their own, after heavy rains, but they are almost extinct in urban areas, I was surprised to see them here.
Well, I wouldn't go that far, but I am thinking about cleaning it up!
Too bad I can't start to do gardening because of extreme monsoon rains we're experiencing.
Same here, but I just tried to preserve those Chrysanthemums mother plants and let them grow so that I can build some saplings. The main activity will start in August 1st week.
Hopefully, August will be good for you and your garden. ❤️
For me having a garden is a nice decision that we have because we can plant anything that can we get when they rise and ready to take.
Yeah… it feels really bad that till they don’t complete the commitment but these mushrooms looks great
These sand mushrooms are a treasure, I found them after a decade.
Yes! Last year in my garden I also found some mushrooms and feel the same 😀
Gardening and maintaining a decent garden is a passion, a hobby and very few people actually understand this.
Building a garden, loving nature, is an art, a truly rewarding passionate activity that only few people seriously undertake, for many of others it's not on priority list such as those 'Society members' alas!.
Glad to see you found sand mushrooms, they generally grow in the undisturbed areas with minimal human intervention, as they are absolutely delicate.
Mushrooms! I love mushrooms
We can't expect others to be same as we do. I also face the same issue all the time, be with friends, or office or any other commitment. People lives very casually tyese days and never worry their commitments or words or responsibility. Anyhow, you done your part, let them handle what they wanted to do. These so called hi-fi residents are mess....
Every society has this. Someone will have a problem with your plants growing in the garden. Which has made a big issue. Now wait when they make this a playground. @sanjeevm
You have worked very hard in your garden and your hard work is visible. I also love growing mushrooms, but I don't have a place where I can grow them.
Your dedication to gardening and nature is truly inspiring, I hope the society realizes what they’re missing.
As I kid I did a lot of mushroom picking, mostly porcini varieties, but many other ones as well. I might have seen these mushrooms, but never picked them as they are totally unknown in Ukraine at least to the people who taught me about mushrooms. And the rule was: You don't pick what you don't know.
That is the case with many things in life, you have to put in a lot of good work and then after a long time you get rewards...
That's a caution with mushrooms otherwise they can create big trouble.
Most of the time it's like that, my friend, they rush us to do their things and in the end they don't do anything with it, but the important thing is that you were able to maintain your garden well and continue working on it to improve it.
Although agriculture is not really my strong suit, I do like to help my brother plant some plants sometimes, as well as water them. We are in the process of waiting for the rains to start everything, but with plants that we can use in the kitchen or be fruits.
Well, I’ve never taken my time to look into the benefits of mushrooms even though I hear them a lot
They will be good though. We barely get mushrooms here anyway but will be nice to have them around
Did you use soap in washing them or just clean water?
Gardening is a really great activity and exorbitantly mindful. It's good to see you doing such amazing activities and practices and being in touch with nature especially when such type of situation is there...
Have a good day!
Why will you be told to remove your plants from that spot? It’s really annoying and sad.
Ohhh!! @sanjeevm I didn’t know these types of mushrooms were edible! A few days ago, I photographed some in my garden. Here are a few photos—they seem to have good properties.
That’s great to know, thanks for sharing, my friend!! Greetings from Cuba! 🇨🇺😉🤝😊
Unless you know for sure, do not eat them.
Ohh ! Ok ok thanks!! 😉🤝
no i never got a enough space to grow garden.
MMMmmmmm.. those mushrooms look soooooo good! I think I want to grow some mushrooms later. I never even tried to eat any until recently and I discovered that I really like em. 😋😉☺️👍
but yea.. some people just don't follow through with what they say. :(
I am really wishing that someday in the future, I will also have a garden of myself actually

That is very true, my friend. Nature offers us the opportunity to grow things that we never think of, but everything is possible. I have not yet started planting in the garden, but I will do so this week. I have several plants that I want to have and enjoy the fruits of my daily effort.
I haven't started yet! But I'm willing to start but life becomes hard recently.
Yay! We have the same flower from your second photo in this blog! Anyway, true enough mushrooms are really delicious. Naturally sweet you think the soup you cooked is poured with a pack of seasoning. We have mushrooms here during rainy seasons, specially when there are lightnings. More mushrooms to pick!
It's disheartening how they hurried you to vacate the gardening area, but your persistence to plant stood out. Indeed, it's passion. May your plants grow well and find the best spot for them to thrive.
And hey those mushrooms are amazing! I saw a lot of mushrooms exactly like those in your pictures here in my place but the kids just uprooted them and trampled on the ground since we weren't sure whether they were edible or not. Maybe I should use a plant identifier app to make sure if plants are edible or not.
It's a wonderful stop in your garden today. Looking forward to reading your next update.
Wow @sanjeevm - those little mushrooms! You know a way to @riverflow's heart, don't you? I totally get the frustration of someone saying they were going to do something, you going to the trouble and them not even starting yet! Grr.
