Today, I will share this piece with you that I titled: "The efficacy of God's Word".

The key words here in this topic are: efficacy, word and God

  1. Efficacy: Which means having the ability to produce a desired effect under ideal testing condition.
  2. Word: the smallest unit of language that has a particular meaning and can be expressed by itself, the smallest discrete meaningful unit of language.( Like. 16 vs 17)
  3. God: According to a dictionary meaning, a deity or supreme being, a supernatural, typically immortal being with superior Power, to which personhood is attributed.

The word of God that I am referring to here is the word of the God that made the heavens and the earth, the entire cosmetic world, with all things that is in it, both visible and invisible, Colossians 1 vs 16 says

" For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him and for him.

The one whose word alone made the heavens and the earth Gen. 1:1 says "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" then John 1 vs 3 confirms that " all things were made by him; and without him was nothing made that was made.

I am talking about the God who owns all creation and they must obey him.

"And they feared exceedingly and said one to another, what manner of man is this that even the wind and the sea obey him" (Mark 4 vs 41).

Note the word "even" meaning, it is impossible for the wind and the sea to obey any person, they may have witnessed other things obeying him, (Mark 1vs 27) but they couldn't believe that the sea and the wind will also obey, but to their amazement they (wind and sea)also obeyed, that is the God I am talking about.

His word carries power to perform. Ecc. 8 vs 4 says

" where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, what doest thou? Yes I am talking about the king, more than a king, He is the king of Kings and the Lord of Lord's. (1Tim 6 vs 15; Rev 19 vs 16)

He says in Isaiah Chapter 55 vs 10 and 11:

"For as the rain cometh down, from heaven and the snow from heaven and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Yes he has power to perform his word, the psalmist wrote in psalm 62 vs 11 "God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God"

This almighty God speaks in divers ways.

Heb. 1vs 1-2 " God, who in sundry time and in divers manner spake in time past unto the father's by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son, whom he hath appointed hair of all things, by whom also he hath made the world".

Note that he speaks in divers manners, he spoke in time past to the fathers, through the mediums called prophets, and some of those word spoken to, and through the prophets were written down for us, and this became the written word of God. (1cor. 10 vs 11)

"Now all these things happened unto them for exsamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the end of the world are come.

Again He still speaks to us now, but this time through his son.

" And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, see thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy (Rev. 19 vs 10).

Note that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy, meaning that ultimately, all prophesies now is related to Jesus and his redemptive work and exalts him. 1 John 4 vs 2,3 reads:

"Hereby know ye the spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God, and this is that spirit of the Antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

Every departure from Biblical revelation concerning Christ open itself up to demonic spirit of deception, because it set aside the authority and complete trustworthiness of the word of God, the word of God does not contradict itself, remember the word of Paul the apostle of Christ in Gal, 1 vs 6 - 9

"I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another, but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you, than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed" Christians should be careful with the so called deep Revelations that is trending now amongst us, be careful to align those Revelations and so call mysteries with the unfailing word of God, the enemy will not use nameless and irrelevant men to publish heresy but prominent men that may have made impact and well respected in the body of Christ.

Paul understood this before he made that statement repeatedly for emphasis, he even included himself (vs 8) or people that are with him... I know that there is a very thin line between perfection and perversion, in our curiosity for perfection and intimacy, one can be deceived, " wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall" (1 Cor. 10 vs 12)

God's word is powerful, however, the truth of God's word must e sought put though a careful study of the Bible with the Holy Spirit's help. How often do you give your self to the study of God's word and how long can you endure sound doctrine?

May God help us today - Amen.

...Watch out for the Part 2 of this message.

Hello, Pastor Samuel, welcome to the platform

It's so easy to get caught up in the latest trends and teachings, but we must always prioritize the truth and the authority of God's word.

I love how you mentioned that God speaks in divers ways, both through the prophets and through his son Jesus. God is always speaking to us, if we only take the time to listen.

I must admit, I've been guilty of getting caught up in some of those deep revelations and mysteries, but your post has really made me realize the importance of staying grounded in the Bible and seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom and insights with us, Pastor.
