A Sign for the Times

For the past week and a half, I have been taking part in the Dreemport / HeyHavYaMet Newbie Hiver challenge as a coach to new Hivers. These writers are identified by #HHYM and shared with existing dreemers, who then take these newbies under their wing for a period of 3 weeks and help them to get settled into Hive and Dreemport and get acquainted with a basic set of tools to keep them enthusiastic after the challenge has run its course.

Our teem feels like it is growing daily! And is buzzing with energy and excitement and a drive to learn and grow - sometimes it feels like too much energy! But organised chaos is a good thing, right? 💗😂😂😂💗

The teem challenge for today was to create a hand symbol to represent our teem. Our teem chose the hand symbol of a lion put forward by @jazclassic. You can read about her reasons for proposing this symbol as a teem symbol here

I love what @jazclassic brought to the teem with this symbol of strength in the LION. I especially love what she said here in her post about Lions...

"always ready to protect their pride, stand for what they believe in"

I believe this captures so much of what dreemers are all about!!!

I did come up with a hand symbol myself... a dove, both a symbol of peace and harmony for our teem, and a new hope for the future with new writers coming to Hive and Dreemport. I made attempts at a number of other hand symbols including energy and the double helix to represent humanity but couldn't get them to photograph from the perspective that I wanted to use.

It's been a very busy 1 1/2 weeks so far with the challenge and I am looking forward to supporting the teem through the second half of the journey 💗

A dove and a symbol representing the Lion's strength.

They look like symbols with different meanings but their connection is strong and the presence of both are needed in every team that's aiming for greatness.

It's been a week and a half and we are all having a great time. It has been fun and challenging at the same time, but helping the newbie keeps fueling us physically and mentally.

Your symbol reminds me of one of my favourite films from my childhood - House of Cards(1993) The quality is poor as the film was mainly released on VHS. The kid, one of the main character is builds house from cards, family pictures and big tarot cards. She sits inside it and making this 'birdy' gesture.

It melts my heart - if I have one 🖤 - every time:)

I remember this scene but don't really remember the film! I googled it and still didn't jog much. I may have to find it and watch it.

The symbol I ended up with was like my 3rd/4th choice but the first one that sorta worked and my kids were over it by then! No more photo help hehe. But I like it anyway🤗!LUV

That's quite a creative piece indeed.
Reflects literally all that's good and all that a DREEMER needs to excel

A picture is worth more than a thousands words indeed.

Would have been really nice if there was a way to get the pictorial thoughts of your suggestion... Would have been massive, hehehe.

hehe thanks Spero - I kinda ran out of time, so posted what I could to keep in with the challenge !LOLZ... Juggling lots! I had a nice way to describe the symbol I wanted to use... but then nothing was working from the photo side - so I had to go with something that did, which I still love, but just didn't have anything written prepared on it. !ALIVE

Yeah that is weird... It had all of them there when I posted. Then when I went to double-check that I had picked up the right banner, I couldn't see the banner... I mean I can sometimes but there is some sort of Hive issue. And now you say you can't see any images??? I can now see ALL of them again! So freaking weird... !LOLZ But thank you so much for letting me know !LUV

I like everything the Teem's symbol represents. Lion. Standing for what you believe in. It's truly beautiful the amount of thought that was put in this.
And the dove too. Peace and harmony for all #dreemers.
