My niece had a birthday and it wasn't just any birthday. It was their fifteenth birthday that they were celebrating, and it is usually one of the most important birthdays in life. Although to be honest, I don't know since when it has been the most important.

I think it has to do with a cultural issue, and to be honest, since my youth I have always seen how this specific celebration was so important for the family, especially for the one being entertained. However, I have already been able to see in several 15-year celebrations that I have been there that it is no longer the same.

Girls these days are no longer excited about that. They really just want to get away from everything traditional like mariachi, bals, and all the protocol that this entails, you know the shoe, the choreographic dances and so on. They just want to jump with their friends.

My niece was no exception and she had to wait with a face like "Hurry up and finish" and as crude as it may sound, those of us who have learned to study people's attitudes and behaviors realize this. The truth is that times are changing. And even though everything was nice, you no longer live the illusion you once did.
