Movie Review: A Man on the Inside.

Hello there, it is the weekend and that is when I love to watch movies, ranging from action, comedy and down to mystery. So today I decided to give one of Netflix's series a chance. You know that day that feels calm and nothing much is going, so you decide to watch a movie. Then you scroll on Netflix to see if you could find something new to watch. That is when you finally give some random not too serious movie a chance, called A Man on the Inside.

When it comes to movies, you simply have to experience them while there are some you simply watch and enjoy yourself. Well A Man on the Inside a flea of both. You have to watch and at the same time you get to feel somethings as well. When I started off with the series, I was simply in the mood for something not too serious, just to keep my mind busy and not dwell so much on the workload I have to hand. And then the movie kept getting interesting. It was funny with a couple of wise lessons being shared. It was like the movie was teaching some interesting life lessons without it being so serious about what it is teaching.

The series is based off simplicity without too many complications or twist that me get you confused. It is about Charles who lost his wife to Alzheimer and now he has to live through life on his own. His only child and daughter is married to the love of her life and with 3 kids of her own. So she is busy navigating through the roles of being a mother, career woman and also a daughter. But she still makes out time to check on her father and during one of her visits to her father's house, she challenges him to find a new activity that will keep him busy and but him out there living his life. She says that is what her mother would want, for her father to live life and not hallow in his pain.

Here is where it gets interstinting, Charles finds a new activity and it is being an investigative assistant. His employer is need of an investigative assistant who can infiltrate an elderly home so the person has to be old and now how to at least operate a gadget. What makes it funny is when Charles got the job, in his mind he thinks he is some MI6 spy or agent, so he tries to act like one. What is even more funny is he does it badly, making a lot of mistakes starting from his training.
Despite the simplicity in the movie, the movie still used the opportunity to share more light on the benefit of enjoying life especially as you get older. The most heartfelt statement from the movie came come Didi, the director at the elderly home, when she said the biggest fear for the elderly is not any form of sickness, rather it was lonely. This is one theme in the movie that showcased through each character and what they dealt with but at the end of the day, nobody wants to be all alone.
It is the bond, activity and interesting things that go on in the elderly home that makes the movie more interesting to watch for me. There is a whole lot going on in that place and the more Charles tries to act like a spy, the more he falls in love with the place and the people who live there. ♟♟♟♟♟♟♟♟♟

Simple and nice review, seems like a movie I would enjoy watching this holiday.
