As the year comes to an end and the festive season approaches,It feels right to celebrate what we as a community as achieved. I was reading @rodrook’s Post and it gave me a lot of joy. HiveChess has come far.

In the course of 2025, we successfully completed 22 rounds of Hive Chess tournaments which I hosted via @sam.chess, and it’s been an amazing year for chess on Hive. We also saw successful tournaments hosted by @stayoutoftherz and @sammy00 Fisher’s random, which helped strengthen the Hive chess ecosystem even more. Big shoutout to everyone who participated, supported, and kept the games alive ♟️👏

FESTIVE HIVE CHESS TOURNAMENT

As stated earlier, we would have a fun chess tournament to end the year!

This tournament on 27th December is not about pressure or rankings, It’s about clebrating a great chess year, having fun during the festive season, Bringing the community together one more time before the year ends. That’s why this is a fun, everyone-wins tournament. If you want to add to the prize list or want to add a special prize, feel free to do so.

• Rewards will be shared across all players

2026 Chess Plans

This festive tournament also marks the end of the 2025 Hive Chess season.

Come January, we’ll be kicking off a new chess season with plans for Chess onboarding (This time maybe a better focus), better structure, and even more exciting tournaments. This is just the warm-up for what’s coming next year. We already have a new sponsor in the works. This chess project has been a passion of mine and I’d keep doing everything I can to see it go on.
