Are We Living Inside One Big Transaction?

Turn to your left and turn to your right, with the blink of an eye, and before you can utter the word 'Jack Robinson,' a transaction, or more than one, but at least one, has gone down. From breakfast to grocery shopping, itineraries, and financial trading in the market. Money is always moving from point A to point B with every second on the clock.

But here is a thought of mine I would like you to consider: not every transaction requires financial backing. Some are more backed by the little or big things in our lives.

So,
Is the world now a big transaction, where we do things for the exchange of something else?

We wake up in the morning for our morning routine for an exchange of good habits governed by a healthy lifestyle filled with working out, jogging and eating healthy food. Move off to the neighbour next door, you send across a form of greeting in exchange for some pleasantries, like how was your night, it has been a while, hope you're good, or what have you been up to?

I have heard the saying Life is give and take, and my question is:

Is this the give and take they were referring to, or is there another one on the way?

Are we in a bubble where we expect some back for something, and does everything now have a price? You want some quiet, you need a bigger house so you do not have to listen to your neighbourhood. Want smart kids? You have to invest in their education and learning process heavily and early on. You want a better physique; there is a price to pay for the workout and the maintenance of the body.

It is way easier to see the financial transaction because money is involved. When you purchase something from the vendor at the mall, it is paid for with cash or a transfer, making money a mobile tool in today's world and thanks to the mobile devices for that as well. But I believe there are more transactions we indulge in more often than the payment of goods and services with money.

This is the economic transaction of relationships as well. Relationships with people take time, trust and commitment, which I see as the transaction being committed into the relationship. Be it a friendship, it takes two sides to tangle. It can not be one-sided; that is why we expect a response when we send that text or make that phone call. This kind of transaction can be overlooked when money is the focused goal of almost everyone in the current inflationary economy.

It is said that everything is transactional, and I know some people could have their different opinion about that, but I think it is true. Although there is a difference for me, not every transaction is carried out with money. Some are offered in other forms. I speak and there is a response, I send a text and I get a response, that is the form of give and take.

It might not take the financial form, but we live in one big transaction governed by give and take. Just like every action has a reaction, there is a transaction for everything.

That’s one thing someone always says, “life is about give and take”. You don’t expect to get anything when you are not willing to give but even if you get something without giving at first, you will soon feel the need to give back either willingly or by compulsion.

I also agree with you on the point that not every transaction is done with money. Our day to day life is a transaction in itself.

The world is a big transaction that goes beyond money. Just as you said, we view transactions more of monetaries, with this, a lot of limitations in-between.

Woah a lot of reflection done here.

I made a similar post some weeks back and in the post, I stuck with the fact that life is transactional and it isn't even about money. There's always 'cause and effect' and if we look at it deeply a great percentage, if not every bit of it, is transactional.
