Music is life as I used to say and good music makes good life. Without good music, there wouldn't be a good life as every moment would just be a dull moment.

But with the help of good music from different parts of the world, the world has been able to have lively moments that make its inhabitants full of life.

One thing I have got to know about music and the world is that, music has helped us to make the world a small community and as the universal language of the world, it's made us know which part of the world community makes good music.

To me, I would say that every part of the world does or make good music and this is because, if people from different countries of the world are asked this same question as asked by the prompt, almost everyone would go for his or her country just to prove that their country does it better which is true as all music are local.

But to me, without being biased, I would stick with my country Nigeria. One of those things that has been helping my country and even putting it on the world map is its good music. In fact, average Nigerians are known for good music and our musical success has really helped us to be a country to be reckoned with.

Talk of any genres of music, you will see a Nigerian doing better in it. In Nigeria's past, we have had great musicians that have really done well and won musical awards not just for themselves but for the country at large.

Furthermore, the transition from our past musical records to this new dispensation has been a smooth one without a break. We also have musicians who really made their mark in the music world with their various genres of music.

Someone like Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, the Fuji Maestro was known for his talent globally and this really took not only him but the nation to the center stage of the world. Also, we have the likes of Shina Peter, the founder of Afro juju. He was too good for his type of music when he was still performing.

We also have the legendary Ebenezer Obey, the evergreen musician, who at his old age still performs like yesterday. Not to forget King Sunny Ade (KSA) and the likes. All these musicians did and made good music during their time and brought Nigeria, their country to the center stage of the world.

So, the connection between our past and present in the Nigeria music industry has been smooth without a hitch. In fact, it's like passing a baton of musical success from one generation to the other.

The transition from the good music of the past to the reformed and modern music has really been a huge success for our country. Today, we now have musicians doing great and better than those ones mentioned earlier in their various chosen genres of music. There are artists like Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Olamide, Dunsin Oyekan, Tope Alabi, Lawrence Oyor, Nathaniel Bassey just to mention but a few that are really making themselves and their country Nigeria proud around the world by their productions of good music.

With the blending of our culture with music these artists have really helped themselves and the nation to produce good and great music not only to Nigeria but also the world at large and it's because of this that you now see other artists from different countries of the world trying to feature them in their musical work.

Aside from this, when you see Nigeria doing their music you feel the depth of what music is. Nigerian musicians have many awards globally to themselves and the country and this is because of their good musical production.

So, without being biased, if there's a country that does good music better, that country should be Nigeria. Thanks to the country's rich culture which has really helped as a factor to embellishing its music. But all the same, all music are local.
