The remedies to the ever growing global population

When the scripture says we should multiply and fill the earth, I always in my own opinion used to think of giving birth to children as much as possible, but it's of recent that I realized it's not only about child's bearing, but in all spheres of human life.

Though, giving birth is one of those ways we can replenish and multiply on earth, but to me this should be done with understanding as taking care of them after birth would be of more importance than anything else. Even, the scripture that says we should multiply is also the same that likened a man that cannot provide for his home as an infidel. So, procreation is good for the purpose of continuous existence, but it should be done with understanding and discretion.

So, back to the topic before us which is about the increase in the world population and the economy with the measures that need to be used to control this ever increasing population. I would like to discuss my own perspective about the issue.

As for me, the ever growing population of the world is getting too much and not only that, it's also scary and this is because of the alarming rate of child bearing among the people of the world.

For instance, in Nigeria where the economy is getting worse everyday, our people have not even learnt their lesson when it comes to giving birth to babies. It's in my country that you will see a man that has no job giving birth to dozens of children without even making any provision for them.

Some women would even be referred to as pig as a result of how she used to conceive anyhow. Also, it's in my country that you would see people giving birth to babies just to make use of them in their petty business such as hawking of pure water, pepper and a whole lot of petty business on the street.

As a teacher in one of the public schools in town, I have seen and experience how people just give birth to children without any plan being put in place to taking care of them knowing fully well that the economy is bad and when the harsh economy is now telling on them, they would now be putting the blame on the government. All these things are not good enough, but contributing to the global population and the bad economic situation of the country and the world.

Though, there's been this slight reduction in child bearing in my area recently, but it's not really measured up to what's expected of what the world population should be.

Though, this slight reduction is only coming from the learned ones in the society which as a result of their knowledge of the world economy has resulted to doing family planning, but as for those that are not learned, they are still giving birth in this bad economy and as they were doing so, they are also wallowing in poverty.

So, as the global economy is skyrocketing, one thing I think the government should do to bring it to the nearest minimum is to enact a law on the number of children a family can give birth to. If this is actually done, things would change and the available resources would be available for all.

Also, the way of incentives should also be considered in controlling the ever growing world population. Now, talking about incentive as a measure to control the world population, I personally would not go with the idea of the government paying people in order to stop or control child's bearing as this would even energize them to do more in terms of child bearing. Also, I would not support the idea of giving them palliative as it's common in my country as a means of pacifying them to stop giving birth to children anyhow. In fact, giving up palliatives and paying them in order to pacify them should be discouraged and fought against.

But instead, I would advise the government to always reward those families that comply with the enacted laws with a more honorable incentive such as, offering of scholarship to the brilliant ones among the children of those who comply with the given number. Also, I would also love the government to empower those parents that comply with the number with the needed resources needed for them to take care of their kids.

Also, the government should also make sensitization against giving birth anyhow their priority. They should make family planning a form of incentive to those that are willing to do it, but they should not force anyone to go for family planning. Also, there should be a fine on those who did not comply and this fine should not be as if the government is against them. The fine and punishment should be meted to them when they fail to take proper care of those kids given birth by them. So, if any kid is arrested for hawking on the street or found sitting at home with his or her parents, such parents should be arrested and made to face the consequences.

With this, the ever growing population of the world would be brought to the nearest minimum and the available resources would go round to everyone.

It's not as if I'm against child's bearing, but it should be done with proper understanding and with the economic situation put in view.
