The irritating acts
Greetings!

Almost everybody has one or two thing that annoy or piss them off. This thing might be how people around us do their own thing which might not go down well with us or how we ourselves do our things that may even get others frustrated or irritated. Though, some might be intentionally done by the person in question or the other way round, it all depends on the person in question. Some might not even see anything bad or wrong in what they do. Everything still depends on the person in question. But one thing I want us to know is that there's nothing or let me say little we can do about the habit or deeds of others. The only thing we can do is to advice them to stop doing it.as we cannot enforce our own doings on others.
To me, everyone has their own habit or deeds that pissed others off. These habits or deeds are known as pet peeve. What is pet peeve? Pet peeve in my own layman's definition can be said to be one's habit that annoys others. It's a minor annoyance that can trigger frustration or irritation in an individual. But like I said earlier, there's nothing we can do about it than to bear with the person that's fond of doing such annoying habit.
Seeing this topic, I was really moved to talk about some of the pet peeve that has really got me frustrated in my lifetime. And to start with, I will like to share the experience I had with a friend cum roommate when I was in the university. This friend of mine named Bernard was a good friend to behold, but his pet peeves was another life of his entirely. When I say, pet peeves, it means he has more than habits that frustrated and got me irritated throughout the time we spent together.
The first of his peeves that got me irritated the most was his chewing habit. Whenever it's time for Bernard to eat, everyone must be aware that someone was eating. Then at room A09, the chewing habit of this my friend always drew the attention of half of the block to our room that someone was eating and this is because of the loud sound that used to be produced by Bernard when eating his own food back then. This his chewing habit used to get me annoyed and irritated but what can I do when I have severally adviced him but all to no avail. So, when I realized he's not willing to do away with his pet peeve, I left him alone with it and I decided not to look at his pet peeve, but his good side.
Another of his pet peeves is the way he snores. Back then, maybe because of his fatness, this my good friend snores alot, there's no way Bernard will sleep without snoring. Even if he closed his eyes for a minute, he must snore. His snoring habit is a very disturbing habit in the room and this is because, whenever he's around to sleep, no other person would be able to sleep, most especially those new intakes that just got allocated into our room in the hostel. But for us his old room mate, we have with time learnt to live with him and his pet peeve. I have equally adviced him on this too, but all to no avail.
But when I met him just of recent, I asked him in the presence of his wife about these his pet peeves and he said, though, these his peeves have really brought him shame in the public recently, but thank God it's not like what it was back then. He said had he known, he would have listened to my advice back then, but that all is well. So, we laughed it all and we all bade ourselves farewell.
So, everyone has one or two pet peeves that must seriously be worked on so as to avoid the same story as my friend Bernard who was publicly embarrassed by not yielding to my advice back then, but have to learn in a hard way to stop his pet peeves from bringing him more embarrassment in the nearest future. I have mine, you have yours which you might not know, but whenever you're being corrected or adviced, kindly yield or take to correction. It doesn't mean you are being hated, but loved by those people who are trying to correct you from the acts.
This is my entry to the hiveghana weekly prompt.
Thanks for reading.

Snoring is just so annoying. There is nothing that can describe that thing. But I’ve come to understand that some of these people have health issues so now I just allow them.
Hmmm, it might be so.
