Sometimes, people do things that are annoying and these annoying things are not gender based at all. But the only thing is that it varies from individual to individual and this is even normal as we all have our individual differences as humans.

So, these annoying things or habits in some quarters are known as pet peeves. These things called pet peeves are normal to some certain extent and have become part of human life.

Like I said before, these peeves vary from one individual to the other and not only this, as it varies from one individual to another, it also varies from one gender to another gender. What this means is that, there's some that are known with the male gender and there's some that are known with the female gender. Though, gender based peeves are not as common as general based peeves. Even those said to be gender based are also part of the general based peeves.

But as regard the topic before me, which has to do with the gender based pet peeve which I dislike in a lady, I would like to talk about this particular pet peeve in ladies which annoys and irritate me as a guy so much, though, some guys are also fond of this particular peeve, but it's most common among the ladies, not even ladies alone, but the women folks in general.

This particular pet peeve that I want to talk about is gossiping. This pet peeve is commonly known with ladies and it's a very bad one for that matter as it has some many things embedded in it. It's in this gossip of a thing that you see ladies backbiting and backstabbing, it's in it you see them envy one another, it's in it you see them setting one against the other, they fight in it, they carry rumor, lie and do all those things that are not meant to be heard of a virtuous person. In fact, this particular peeve is more of a character than habit and it can only do one thing which is destruction.

My experience with most ladies right from the time being is that they gossip too much about what is none of their concern and this has always led to beefing among them. I could remember at my hostel back in the days, that there's a lady named sharon. This lady was best known for her act of gossiping and this has really cost her and those who she gossiped about their lives and relationships.

There's a day she gossiped about a lady just because the lady has stepped up her standard of living a little bit. So, she was carrying the rumor of shade being a runs girl, so, when this lady heard of her being gossiped about Sharon, she got angry and approached her, if not for the intervention of those that were around, the clash of the titan between them would have turned bloody. But thank God for the timely intervention.

Though, I was not so convinced about ladies having this pet peeve as I decided not to use her own to judge the entire lady's world. But on getting to the NYSC lodge during my one year mandatory service to my nation, I still witnessed the same thing I witnessed at my hostel when I was in university. This time around, it's Ajoke who was known for his act of backbiting and backstabbing. She did this that she almost ruined Mabel's life, but she was put to shame when the truth was made known to all.

Though, not all ladies are into this gossiping pet peeve, but from what I have seen and heard about the majority of them, most are into it. Like I said earlier too, we still have some guys doing the gossiping of a thing too, but there's not as much as the ladies who are known for gossiping. But I stand to be corrected as I'm not against any gender.
