The dangerous dogding game
Greetings!
Growing up in my local community was full of fun as many of my peers back then were full of life, I could remember how yinka and I used to play rough by doing this dodging fire of a thing. Then, Yinka's dad used to buy him toy guns and these guns were always used for this rough hide and seek rough play.
Atimes during this dodging fire rough play, we used to hide inside the bush or perhaps climb the tree to hide from the person hunting us and in return fire back from our hidden place.
All these methods used in our hide and seek used to come from what we have seen and learnt from the action movie we used to watch back then and immediately after watching these action movies, we used to swing into action by acting our own movie.
Though, this used to be fun filled back then, but this wouldn't have been possible with the strength of the youth we had in us as it's only with the strength of youth that one can be able to climb the top of a mango tree or hide in a near bush or in the narrow drainage or drum.
I could remember one of those days when we as usual went on to do our rough play of hide and seek, so as we started doing this our hide and seek game, I climbed the man tree at our back yard as in the normal day, but lo and behold, one of the branches of the tree I held on to cracked and before I know it, I found myself on the ground with my hand broken, this was so serious as I was riddling in pain, yinka, my friend went to call his elder brother who came to my rescue. Uncle Tayp as we used to call him took me to the open place in the compound and helped me with first aid treatment.
So, when my parents who had left home for work in the morning came back, they both took me to the hospital for treatment and it's a pathetic thing to have ever happened to me. Even at the hospital, the doctor said that the orthopedic treatment carried on me was successful because of my age. He said had it been an adult, the story would have been different as it would be difficult for an adult to be treated that way due to the matured or rigidity of the bone.
So, my youthful energy was strong and could not even be compared to what it is now. So, it's then I realized that as it was back then, it is the same with the young ones of today and vice versa with the adults of then and myself now.
Thanks for reading.

I don't know why boys are always climbing trees. Are you people not afraid of heights?😂
Bone injuries are always very painful. I can't imagine ever breaking a bone or going to an orthopedic.

That's what we are known for. Thanks for stopping by.
Surely this will be a story of a male child. Trying to prove power by climbing and doing dangerous things. Am glad the story doesn't lead to disability.
Yes, thank you for stopping you
Boys are synonymous with heights and climbing. Not only did you climb the tree but you went out on a branch because it is more dangerous. The broken hand was a painful way to teach you that you are not invincible.
