So far so good||My mid-year assessment
Greetings!
Looking back at the start of the year, I've realized that there's been an improvement in the way I've been living in the past compared to how I'm living it now.
Although I'm not perfect yet, I'd say I've stopped my habit of postponing things and become more proactive.
At the start of the year, I had the habit of procrastination. Whenever I had things to do, I wouldn't do them and would instead put them off until another time or day. This was how I was living my life, to be honest. This habit of procrastination really affected me in so many ways.
I lost a contract due to this bad habit of procrastination. A man called me to give him a quotation for his project, which he was about to start. Instead of being proactive and calculating the costs, I told him I'd get back to him and for about 2 weeks, I didn't do anything about the assignment because I had forgotten.
But, when I finally remembered the assignment, I quickly did the quotation and sent it to the man. However, when the man saw my message, he called me back and told me not to worry again. He said he had given the contract to someone more reliable than me.
This really got me disappointed and it was this event that led me to make a bold decision to abandon procrastination and become more proactive. All these events took place between January and April.
However, making the decision to be proactive has really paid off. Since I started taking things more seriously, my life has changed for the better.
So, seeing the topic of this prompt from the hiveghana community made me happy and looking back to where I was coming from to where I am now, I would say I have really done well.
Fortunately, this prompt came at the right time as I have something to back up my changed habit.
Just last week, the man who had called me before called me again and asked if I could supply him with 10 trips of 20 tons of granite. Immediately after he asked, I replied yes and asked him to give me 10 minutes to send him the quotation.
So, immediately I dropped the call, I started doing the calculation which did not take me 5 minutes to finish.
As soon as I finished the calculation, I sent the man the quotation, and I was able to supply him with all the materials needed for his building project. The man was very happy and promised me another supply opportunity. That's the joy of being proactive.
In conclusion, this prompt is timely and I'm pleased to report that I've made significant progress in overcoming procrastination and adopting a more proactive approach to life.
This is my entry to the hiveghana weekly prompt.
Thanks for reading.

It's never a great idea to postpone thing's, what I know about it is that, we might not do them again, if we postpone so many tasks, once they pilled up, we might overlooked it. Very interesting as you have keep procrastination aside.
That's just the fact. Thanks for stopping by.
You are welcome.
