Passion over all

Greetings!

Passion and living are two different thing that cannot be separated. Though, both have their different measures or path to take towards meeting up with them, but notwithstanding, in one's passion, earning a living is possible.

So, going with the topic of the prompt, which is about the one to choose between going with passion or running after a good living. Hmmm, this is an interesting topic I would like to talk about.

In my lifetime, I have seen people going for their passion on so many occasions and also, I have seen people opting to earn a living. Which in all ramification is okay. So, like I said earlier, both are normal and there's no sin in it.

But as for me, going with my passion is one thing I cherished so much. Though i have tried earning a living before, neglecting the other side which is passion. But one thing I have realized so far is that earning a living without passion is not always feasible for me. Though It might have been possible for others, but as for me, even while trying to earning a living, the role of passion cannot be overemphasized.

So, with this my above assertion, I would go for my passion instead of going for earning a living and this is because my passion would always drive me towards earning a better living. There's no business or career one is doing or intended to do that will succeed without a touch of passion in it.

I could remember some time ago when a friend of mine introduced a livestock farming business to me. Then when he came, I fell for the business and this is because of nothing but because of what I have heard about the business that it's a lucrative business that brings about wealth to those that have been doing it. It's a pig farming business and with the number of piglets giving birth by a sow and with my calculation, I was so thrilled to invest in the business which I eventually did without any recourse and with the aim of earning a living. But months after the investment, the will to carry on with the momentum I started with was fading and gradually, I was unwilling to continue with the business.

So, it's then I realized that I have lost the zeal with which I started the business in the first place. On seeing this, the thought of quitting the business was running through my mind, which I unfortunately did. All these happened within the space of six months and it's because of a lack of passion for it in the first place. Had it been that there's a passion in me for the business at the outset, I would have endured what might have come my way, but because of the lack of the drive called passion, I quitted the business halfway.

So, after quitting the business being introduced to me by a friend as a lucrative one, I opted for a career of my passion which is teaching, it's right from my childhood days that I have always love to teach. I could remember in those days when I used to assemble my peers together in front of our house to conduct assembly and to also grouped them into classes as being done by our teachers back in the days. This has always been part of me till I grew up. So, after quitting the piggery farming, i embraced my teaching with passion and this is what I have been doing and I'm really enjoying it to the fullest. This passion of mine has really brought about good standard of living to me.

So, going for passion would be my choice anytime, anyday. This is because anything done with passion will surely earn one a good standard of living as the passion will always drive and fuel one's ability, even in the face of challenges one will still thrive with passion. But, both are very important in one's life.
