My dream abode

Building and living in one's dream house is a thing of joy for every human and as for me, right from the outset of my life, I have always love a very befitting and spacious mansion for myself and my household. Though, my parent has a very nice and befitting mansion to their names, but to me, that their mansion is not my taste.

No wonder there's a scriptural saying that's says, there's time and season for everything on the planet earth. It's recently that I went home to visit my parents that I realized and got to know that, something that's beautiful and regarded as one of the best mansion back then is now an old school and I'm very sure that, the edifice that we in this generation are putting in place now will still wear a old face in the nearest future.

But notwithstanding, that should not hinder us from building and living in our dream houses. One thing I have always told myself is that, I will live and enjoy my life no matter the situation. No wonder the popular saying says that, what the birds eat is what the bird will fly with. Seriously, this is the absolute truth of the matter and as for this reason, I have always plan to live my life to the fullest.

So, in the act of living the life of my own in the best possible way and going by the Scifi weekly prompt, living in a standard house as always being my desire right from the outset.

Just last week, my wife was asking me about my dream house and not knowing that this kind of prompt will come up, the reply I gave her was that, if I were to build any house right now, I would like go for a duplex.

Now, the reason for this was because of my love for something good, beautiful and spacious. Right from when I was growing up, my desire for something of this nature cannot be measure and this started when I visited a friend's house when I was in the secondary. So when i got to his place, i saw this massive structure with almost all the rooms in the upper part of the house with an ensuite toilet, and at the ground floor was the living room, the dining place and the the kitchen with rest room and other things being put in place. When I got to the kitchen of the house, the kitchen was very big with stores where foodstuffs were being kept full of foodstuffs. The arrangement of the kitchen and the kitchenette was a top notch.

As if these were not enough, the house was built on a two plot of land and this really gave the house enough space, both for parking and for other activities. The painting and other furnitures being put in place really made the mansion a place to be. Though, I have never seen such a structure before going to my friend's place, and this was why I asked him about what type of structure it was and it's in his response that he told me it's a duplex.

Also,on the remaining plot of the land, there's a small garden where food crops were being planted for family consumption. There's also trees planted at the back that bring about breeze throughout the day. I really love garden and the breeze that comes through the trees planted in the compound. What a beautiful site to behold.

So, since then, I have had it in mind that, whenever it's ripe for me to build a house of my own, I will go for such a structure, though, their's is a little bit old, compared to the edifice people are putting in place this days, but to be candid, their structure is still as strong as a rock of Gibraltar. But putting my own in place, I will add more modern facilities to it.
