However, if we refuse to submit our lives to God, the reverse will surely be the case as he would not even have anything to do with us, but allow us to take our faith in our hands which would eventually lead us to destruction.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

In the above scripture, we were told to submit ourselves therefore unto God. What this simply means is that submitting everything to God would allow him to take charge of our lives and make our lives better, but if not destruction is around the corner.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Also, in the above scripture, we were made to know that it's God that worketh in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure. However this can only happen when we submit our everything to God to take charge of and this would surely end well.

In conclusion, Bro. Eli made us understand that it's only when we submit all to God that he would be able and willing to take control of our lives and destinies anything short of that would mean that we can do it ourselves.
