Holiday is coming!

The holiday time is a time to rest and refresh oneself from the tedious and stress of work and it used to come with a hope of having time to oneself and for those working far from home, to reunite with their loved ones and family.

No wonder when we were young, the aura and the atmosphere that used to rent the air when it's time for holiday used to be special and lively and the song of,

“ Holiday is coming, holiday is coming, no more morning bells, no more teacher's bread, goodbye shola, goodbye aunty…”

This song is mostly sung on the last day of the term and both the students and staff used to be excited and relieved of the workload they have passed through during the course of the term.

So, as it was back then, it is now and will always be in the future. But one thing is that, holidays would always be a time to rest and gather more energy for the next round of work that's coming.

So, as for the topic, I would like to discuss how I would love to spend my holiday. So, since I work far from home, I would like to go back home to where my family lives and have a nice time with them as I have really missed them. Though we used to have this lengthy discussion on the phone, that can't be compared to me being with them.

So, for this coming holiday, I can't wait to go home and spend nice time with my wife and children. Though, I have already mapped out plans on those things that would make the holiday a remarkable one, part of which includes, going to the beach together with my beautiful wife and children in the first week of the holiday and in the second week of the holiday, I have this plan of going to the cinema to watch the latest movie in town with the member of my family and as for the third week, I will also try to having a nice time with friends.

So, to round up my one month holiday, I would use the last week of the holiday to rest from all the holiday activities I have mapped out and also prepare to resume work the following week.

Though, it would still take like 5-6 months to see and have this kind of fun with them again and this is because of the nature of my job that takes a bunch of my time. As a marine engineer, we spend more time on ship and in the sea than what we used to spend with our family and friends back home and whenever there's a holiday like this, I used to be determined in spending wisely, most especially with my family members as family comes first in everything I do.

So,I would be happy if I can carry out these plans with regard to my forthcoming holiday. Home is calling and I can't wait to go home.

This coming holiday will be a 2 in 1 holiday where I will have time with both my family and friends. It promised to be an interesting and remarkable holiday for me with the members of my family and my friends.
