Starting my holiday with an action packed movie gave me joy. Though I'm not a true fan of a Bollywood movie, this one caught my full attention as the movie was full of action from the start to the end.

The movie as directed by Sonu sood and produced by shakti sagar was an action movie that featured movie casts that were well vast in their various roles. Characters such as Fateh, Nimrat, khushi, Prakash, Raza and others really played their roles with full act of professionalism and I would not stop watching this movie over and again.

PLOT/SUMMARY:

Like I said earlier, I'm not a fan of action movies, but this one really caught my attention and this is because of the storyline. Not only that, the story caught my attention because it's similar to the happenings in my country as well.

The movie, FATEH, started with an In Media Res and as a literature student, I was happy to see the movie starting on that note and this is because, it started from the middle, telling us what the movie will look like.

The movie, is an action movie with the main character Fateh whose name was used to titled the movie, playing an important role of setting his people free from the hand of the cybercrime mafians who have with their criminal acts with the use of their loan bank app sent the poor and the less privileged and their family to their early graves.

Fateh, an ex- agent who has left his former job as a security agent and has retired to his Moga, Punjab village as a manager in a dairy farm, was a well loved person who served was a neighbour to a lady called Nimrat who was known to be an agent to the loan company owned by the cybercrime mafians, Prakash and Raza. These two has really caused problem in the village through their loan app which has been used to defrauded people and even monitor people's data, it's as a a result of this that a man committed suicide due to the ensued molesting that came to him as a result of him not being able to pay back with the high interest.

When this happened, the lady agent was not happy about that as she was to be arrested for her involvement in the whole saga and before she could be arrested, she left for the headquarters of the company and it's her disappearance that led to Fateh going all out to rescue her.

So, when Fateh got to the city on his rescue mission, he got to know that the matter was deeper than he thought and from all his discoveries, he was able to eliminate the mafians and their security guard.

Though, this came at a price as he was being framed up as the one who was behind the money being transferred from people's accounts. This was done through the use of technology as he was being cloned and framed by the mafians. So, with this, he and khushi, a lady who has been helping her with the needed information were on the run, when declared wanted by the police, they fought their way through and were able to track the mafians, but in the process, the great price was paid as Nimrat, his neighbor was killed via electrocution which was transmitted online. But, he made sure he revenged the death of the innocent citizens that were defrauded and killed by the mafians and their cohort's loan app.

VERDICT FOR:

The movie storyline was superb as it portrays what's going on in every society. The storyline was not limited to Indians alone, but the global world where corruption has always been at the highest echelon of the society.

Also, the love for one's neighbor and nation can be seen in the movie, this can be seen in the main character, Fateh, who defended his people and his nation. Nimrat, his neighbor, also showed him love when they were both staying at the same compound. Also, Nimrat can be seen showing to her fellow villagers by promising them there won't be a problem, though there's problems at the end, but her show of love cannot be underestimated.

VERDICT AGAINST:

The movie was full of murder. Also, the issue of corruption was on the high in the movie as innocent citizens were being killed for what they were supposed to be protected for by their government.

Also, the way the citizen aided the death of their fellow citizens by streaming live and making up the number of the viewers to execute their electrocution was absurd. Though they didn't know at the start when a man was killed, but when Nimrat was to be killed, a piece of information went viral, but they yielded not to the information and it led to the killing of the innocent lady.

Furthermore, the way technology was being used to defraud people in the movie calls for serious concern. In the movie, the audience were only shown the negative side of technology which was actually used to defraud and maim people as can be seen and witnessed in the movie, at some point, it's even used to frame the main Fateh.

RATING

I will rate the movie 7/10.
