Considering my solo trip
Greetings!

For someone like me who likes travelling and adventure, I would say that I would like to take a solo trip from my own end of my country to the other end of my country.
As for me, travelling is my favorite hobby and this is because I love to know more about different cultures and people. Aside from this, meeting new people has always been my pleasure.
So, if the opportunity of traveling through the length and breadth of my country is being presented to me as a solo traveler, I would not hesitate nor ignore the opportunity but jump at it.
Having said this, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt which is all about, “A solo trip.”
A solo trip to the best of my knowledge is when one travels in his car or vehicle all alone without anyone by his or her side. To me, this would be the best of all opportunities for me to know more about my country and the different culture there.
Aside from this, the fun and the lasting memories that would accompany me on the journey would not even let me feel that people are not there with me on the journey.
Also, this kind of a journey would be free of distraction as no one would disrupt nor distract me on the journey. So, for me this is the kind of journey I would jump at anytime, anyday just because of the fun and memories of it.
However, one thing that may hinder me or make me think twice about the journey is that of the current economic situation of the country. The current economic situation of the country where inflation is the other day would certainly make me not want to embark on such a journey as the cost of buying gas to fuel my vehicle could be too costly now that the subsidy on fuel has been removed.
Aside from this, the insecurity in my country is another factor that might hinder me from embarking on such a journey. Now that banditry and kidnapping have taken over the country, I would certainly think twice before embarking on such a journey so as not to be kidnapped as I would not want to put my family in a situation where they would be looking for ransom to set me free as our roads have become a den of bandits and kidnappers and for a solo traveler, it might be kind of dangerous to travel on such roads.
Also, the bad state of our roads in this country would make me not consider the journey as well. Our roads are like a death trap for travelers as pot holes have taken over our highways. So, I would prefer staying behind than risking traveling over from my end to the other end of my country.
In conclusion, as much as I love to travel and know about other people's cultures, I would also love to consider other challenges that are associated with such an adventure as a solo traveler.
This is my entry to week 207, episode 02 of the weekly Featured contest in the Hive Learners community.

Going on a solo trip in Nigeria is not a decision for the faint. Imagine budgeting a specific amount only to end up spending more than the already budget.
