S1 Round 8 HiveChess Recap + Chess Puzzle Challenge

Hello everyone.
Finally I managed to play HiveChess tournament this Saturday. It was nice to be back. So many players above 2000 Elo in tournament. I will go over some games later but first lets go over Chess Puzzle Challenge.

Chess Puzzle Challenge

Lichess has Puzzle option to play where you can improve your play. You solve puzzles according to your level and improve your chess.
Since we have new players and players who are at beginning of their chess journey this Chess Puzzle Challenge is for them.
Challenge is for all players under 1500 Elo. Solve 50 tactical puzzles on lichess and get 1 Hive. First three player to solve 50 chess puzzles will get 1 Hive. After that who ever solves 50 puzzles get 50 ecency points.

Rules
You have to have less than 1500 Elo (Blitz).
Solve correct 50 tactical puzzles on lichess.
At least one participation in one of the tournaments in Chess community.
Deadline is Friday August 29th until midnight.

Tag players under 1500 that are suitable for challenge. This is a good way to improve your game. I will be traveling so rewards can be distributed next week.

Season 1 Round 8 HiveChess Recap

Like I said it was nice to be back. Field with many strong players is always good challenge. Top 10 players are above 10 and finishing 13th was super for me.
When playing against stronger player I tend to play faster and wait opportunity. This leads to blunders but sometimes blunders come from other side as well.
In some games I felt I had advantage in some parts but in the end I could not hold it for long. Difference in chess strength show in that cases.

First game where I thought I was in good position but did not find good moves was against @poseout87 (ManFromSpain)

When playing against opponents with lower Elo you keep attacking and in middle game and endgame skill level shows up. In this game I managed to go for a counter attack after @poseout87 went for my king and had big advantage. As you can see my king is open and knight is lurking and ready to go for finish.

However after several moves I went for a counter attack on his King side and momentum shifted. As you can see check with pawn was go to move.

Instead I took on Knight on f3 and King goes on safe square on h2 and my opponent is drivers seat. Some moves later I got checkmated. Not a surprise at all. Knight was strong piece in this position.

For me it is nice game. I had some good moves but I need more work on this middle game. Of course my opponent missed some moves so I was able to come into this position. When playing against stronger players sometimes they can make some mistakes and you can try to convert it. And you must have familiar and good opening.

Other game is against @maestroask (IM Odnoobraz_bcm)

So this game after opposite castling I went for a @maestroask king and attack on his king side. I normally play like this for game to be open and it is all in. You can find I felt that he let me go on this attack on king side. I went for it and it was going nice. I did not think of advantage that much as it shows on evaluation bar.

Here I took Knight on g5. Maybe I did not like possible Knight jump on f3. But after Queen g5 check tables turned.
I did not understand position which seemed good for some time. I think @maestroask would convert this game anyway.
