Life’s Surprises!

Alot of us love it when we are being surprised especially when it comes in a positive way, when you least expect something to happen and it happens or when someone you wanted to see for a long time suddenly shows up unannounced, that brings alot of joy and exhilaration. Life brings alot of surprises also to us in so many ways that we cannot imagine and we least expect and it might be positive or negative regardless of who we are and what we do or what we want.

The surprise's that life throws our way often times teaches us more about ourselves, navigating through things we thought we might never do or things we never assumed we can achieve, enlightening us more on our capabilities and I capabilities, it also teaches us alot about the world around us that we wake up everyday to. Life surprise's can change the way we see things, sometimes when we get too comfortable with our plans that assures us absolute certainty without a glitch, then the unexpected surprise from reality tends to shake us up abit so that we can think differently.

There is a friend of mine who told me about a situation that happend to him that took him by surprise because of the change of mind of some people, least I forget here is what really happened, so the thing is when he was serving (NYSC program) in Nigeria and was at the last month of his service year, he came across a job offer at a particular secondary school online and they were asking for qualified and interested candidates in that field to submit thier CV to the email provided and he also did because he was already good at teaching while serving and was also at the end of this program so he naturally applied also for applying sake.

Surprisingly he got a call from the school to come for interview on a specific date regarding those subjects he said he specialises on and with Gods grace the date fell after he service month which got him excited and immediately after the service, on the date for the interview he prepared and went, he was interviewed by answering some questions regarding the subject which he answered flawlessly and after that he was asked to go and will be contacted in due time, so he left.
He was contacted after 2 weeks and asked to come and collect his appointment letter and let them talk about the payment of salary which he did, so he went and collected the appointment letter but when it came to the negotiation of salary he told them the lowest salary he will collect will be 50k (50 thousand naira) and that was because he was desperate for a job that he negotiated in that manner and they agreed to it on the spot, so he was given a date to resume and then he took his appointment letter and left and resumed work on the date he was asked to resume

After month end that salary was to be paid he said he was credited with 45k (45 thousand Naira) instead of 50 thousand Naira which he took to the notice of the principal and then the principal told him that 'yes that was his salary' that for now he will be on probation till when the school confirms that the children are good enough before they will increase his salary and it definitely took him by surprise because that was not the agreement they made before he started the job but he also decided to go with it because it will pay some bills for the time being

So you see, that surprise came as a disappointment rather being fruitful, so you see when surprise can be a shock, they bring new chances and sometimes meet new people in the process too or stumble upon an opportunity.
