CHALLENGES AND TRIALS OF LIFE
We don't always get what we want in life because life itself is not always a bed of roses so beautiful and flawless without trials and difficulties. At one point in our life we have all encountered challenges that are so hard and seem impossible to tackle that along the way we just want to give up and let fate take it's course but then something, someone, a sense of responsibility, a duty, a promise or the very fact that others are looking up to you makes you steel your resolve and endure, pushing forward making sure you don't disappoint them or yourself.
Am not an exception when it comes to facing those challenges, I have been in situations so challenging that it left me drained completely and confused, not knowing how to move forward again and also not wanting to go backward again because if I do go backward, I will definitely find it even more challenging to forge ahead again. The two options that presented themselves to me as a result of the challenge, difficulty and problem that I was going through left me pondering more about the reality of life and how our father's dealt with such situations.
I was faced with a situation one time where I was not financially buoyant and that period of time alot of problems that requires money came up, I was faced with school fees payments for my sisters, one was in the university, one in secondary school and one was in her last year in primary school and just incase you're wondering, am the only boy in my family with five younger sisters and also am the first born, so you see, I have alot of responsibilities on my shoulders because my dad was late since my first year in the university making life take a different turn for me and making me own up to those responsibilities earlier on that expected. But I was able to graduate from the university and serve my country and also supported my sister while I was serving and even after service till she graduated from the university also and then everything became more difficult when I started working.
Faced with the school fees dilemma and also having no money put me in a tight spot because I know for sure that my salary can cover for the one's in primary and secondary school and probably quarter for the one in the university but then what about feeding, if I paid all their fees there will be nothing left to send as allowance for the one in the university and give at home for buying food because even though my mum was working in a private firm, her salary could only cover for the cost of food at some certain level. At that moment I felt like everything was going against me because I had no one to call like an aunty or uncle to ask for assistance and the pressure was high to the point that I nearly breakdown because of other additional external pressures at work
But when I look at my mum and sisters, I know for certain that I have to hang on and give them a better life than what they are passing through now, because that is my first priority, and also my source of motivation in breaking beyond my limit and enduring any challenge i face with the grace, mercy and guidance of God. Also I have come to realise that no matter what you go through, there is always a way out as long as you are patient enough and also submit the situation to God. Don't give up in your struggles, work hard, be patient and above all submit it to God in prayers.
Don't allow situations and challenges to decide your fate
Be the master of your fate
