Old Havana|Habana vieja

Hello dear travelers
The next destination I had in Havana was to accompany my older brother to carry out some formalities in Old Havana and incidentally we would travel a little more that area.

This was one of the days that I walked the least in the capital, my mom and my godmother joined our tour, these are not very fond of walking so they wanted to go home just minutes from starting to get to know.

The Old Havana area is very rich in imposing architecture as well as all of Havana, however, falling houses and garbage dumps are also common in the area.
We start the walk from a street that has some shops and hairdressing salons. The entrance to the place is given by a very curious scissor-shaped sculpture, positioning the instrument as fundamental in this hairdressing world and paying tribute to hairdressers and barbers.
We didn't explore that street, we decided to follow the next one, looking to get out to Centro Habana.

On the side we had a grove with a protagonist tree in the center. It seemed half abandoned but as for natural beauty its green made it stand out.

Turning into that street, another side of the area was waiting for us, there was no striking architecture, no large park or grove, this street presents the life of the Cuban, his daily struggle, and seeing the image again tells me many things.

In the end, we were waiting for what the Revolutionary Commandery was in its time when the Spanish government, or well, that suggested to me its architecture and deterioration.

The streets from one moment to another become very colorful, the places with handicraft sales and souvenirs for tourists are not lacking.

The between streets take you to very imposing places of the capital, one reveals that commandery and this one, a church, which although it looks just as abandoned its architecture and design are incredible.

A few seconds later we found the little Winery in the Middle, the visit was curious because we had not entered the place and already some people there were telling us that former US President Obama was in the place. I was really struck by how they allow people to engrave their signatures there and how fascinating they look stamped. Without wanting to, I was already an accomplice in that act because I left my name on the wall.

I was already surprised that I didn't come across any buildings in the area. The first one we saw was the one that groups the offices of the ministers, this is a very tall and wide one.
The others appeared later.

Without realizing it we were already in Centro Habana, the architecture of this area does not and will not surprise me.

This last photo of the day definitely became another of my favorite photos of the trip.I took it from the Capitol and I don't know what I had on the day, but I observed the place from another angle.

This was another day full of stories to tell.
I love the amount of information that the capital provides through its streets, buildings and even its people.

Hola queridos viajeros
El siguiente destino que tuve en La Habana fue acompañar a mi hermano mayor a realizar algunos trámites en Habana Vieja y de paso recorreríamos un poco más esa zona.

Este fue uno de los días que menos caminé en la capital, se sumaron a nuestro recorrido mi mamá y mi madrina, estas no son muy amantes de caminar por lo que quisieron irse a casa a solo minutos de comenzar a conocer.

La zona de Habana vieja es muy rica en arquitectura imponente así como toda la Habana, en cambio, las casas cayéndose y los basureros, también son comunes en la zona.
Partimos la caminata desde una calle que tiene algunas tiendas y salones de peluquería. La entrada al lugar la da una escultura con forma de tijera muy curiosa, posicionando al instrumento como fundamental en este mundo de peluquería y homenajeando a peluqueros y barberos.
No exploramos esa calle, nos decantamos por seguir la siguiente, buscando salir a Centro Habana.

A un costado teníamos una arboleda con un árbol protagonista en el centro. Parecía medio abandonada pero en cuanto a belleza natural su verde la hacía resaltar.

Doblando en esa calle nos esperaba otra de las caras de la zona, no había arquitectura llamativa, ni un gran parque o arboleda, esta calle te presenta la vida del cubano, su lucha diaria, y viendo nuevamente la imagen me dice muchas cosas.

Al final nos esperaba lo que fue en su tiempo la Comandancia Revolucionaria cuando el gobierno español, o bueno, eso me sugirió su arquitectura y deterioro.

Las calles de un momento a otro se vuelven muy coloridas, los lugares con ventas de artesanías y recuerdos para los turistas no faltan.

Los entre calles te llevan a lugares muy imponentes de la capital, aquel revela aquella comandancia y este, una iglesia, que aunque luce igual de abandonada su arquitectura y diseño son increíbles.

A pocos segundos nos encontramos con la Bodeguita del Medio, fue curiosa la visita porque no habíamos entrado al lugar y ya algunas personas de allí nos estaban contando que el expresidente de EUA Obama estuvo en el lugar. Me llamó mucho la atención cómo permiten que las personas graben sus firmas allí y lo fascinante que se ven estampadas. Sin quererlo ya era cómplice de aquel acto pues dejé mi nombre en la pared.

Ya me estaba extrañando de no encontrarme con edificios en la zona. El primero que vimos fue el que agrupa las oficinas de los ministros, este es uno muy alto y ancho.
Los demás fueron apareciendo más adelante.

Sin darnos cuenta ya estábamos en Centro Habana, la arquitectura de esta zona no deja ni dejará de sorprenderme.

Esta última foto del día se convirtió sin duda en otra de mis fotos favoritas del viaje, la tomé desde el Capitolio y no se que tenía el día, pero observé el lugar desde otra arista.

Este fue un día más lleno de historias para contar.
Me encanta la cantidad de información que proporciona la capital a través de sus calles, edificios hasta de su gente.
