Gender discrimination-My thoughts 🤔

Here we go again, we have socialism, capitalism, communism, fascism, patriotism, feminism, individualism, and yes we have gender discrimination which of course I would be pouring my thought out on today roaming free and running wild.

I am going sci-fi here ...

Imagine a situation where we are all allowed to experience what it feels like to be our opposite gender hmm for about lets say a decade or maybe we have a world where gender roles are totally reveresed, the man plays the role of a woman and the woman plays the role of a man but there is no change whatsoever in physical characteristics, now I dont know about you, but that idea sounds interesting to me.

So in this gender role reversed world, Men typically, (emphasis on typically) become Fashion Designers, maids, cook, nurses( I know what you thinking, "men also become nurses" well not as much as women), stay at home dad . Now women also become CEOs, Soldiers, Engineers, Firefighters, construction workers, basically anything that men do typically women begin to do them and vice-versa.

Now if the above happened, what do you think will change? What effect will that have on us as humans?

Personally, i think people will start to appreciate their gender more and stop complaining. You see, as much as people have been granted the liberty to freely pursue any career they desire, we have been wired subconsciously to believe that some roles are best suited to a particular gender. Lets take a quick example in form of a question

As a Woman, lets say you are backed into a corner and your survival depends on someone winning a battle or a fight for you. You are given an option between two people you dont know their history or any idea about thier physical prowess, a man and a woman is place in front of you, who would you choose?

Or

As a man you are going to be away for quite a very long period of time, it cant be bargained, and it is unavoidable, you are given an option between a Man and a Woman to see that your children receive the best of care. No background history is given on any of these individuals, who would you choose?

I think the answers for the above questions are obvious, that explains suitability in gender role. I think when it comes down to choosing a particular gender for a particular role in the society, we are all guilty of gender discrimination subconsciously, except maybe you make an effort to consciously override that subconscious wiring.

Now from a role reversal standpoint, gender role reversal will challenge our preconceived idea shifting the notion that some qualities are inherently feminine and some are inherently masculine and ultimately removing the veil of limitation placed by one gender on another gender.

Frankly there should be no barrier to what a human being, a man or a woman think they can achieve , except of course the barrier they place on themselves. That said I think we homosapiens should start seeing ourselves more as individuals rather than as male, female, man or woman.

This will definitely challenge the status quo,but create a better world for all.

But before we end this, What are your thought on a world where gender, sex doesnt exist? A man can impregnate a woman, a woman can impregnate a man, a man can be pregnant, something like that, what are your thoughts on that? Lets me know in the comment section 👇👇
