HiveChess Saturday Weekly Tournament: Season 2 Kicks Off This Saturday!

Hello Chess Lovers!

Welcome to a new year and the start of Season 2 of the HiveChess Saturday Weekly Tournament! ♟️🔥

After a successful first season last year, I’m excited to officially announce that Season 2 begins this Saturday, 24th January, and will run for 25 weeks. Last season we distributed over 1500+ Hive and 50+ HBD for brilliancy prizes and tips for newly onboarded players

This season builds on everything we achieved last year bigger prizes, stronger support, and continued chess onboarding within the Hive ecosystem.

New Season Highlights

• Season: HiveChess Saturday Weekly Tournament — Season 2
• Start Date: Saturday, 24th January
• Duration: 25 weeks
• Frequency: Every Saturday

This season, we’re increasing the weekly prize pool to 80 HIVE, up from the 60 HIVE we gave throughout large first season.

As always, this amount is subject to review, and if things continue to improve, the prize pool may be adjusted upward over time.

At the end of the season, we will once again award special prizes, just like we did in Season 1.

🏆 Weekly Prize Pool – 80 HIVE

The prize pool for this weekly tournament is 80 HIVE, distributed as follows:

Placements

• 1st – 15 HIVE
• 2nd – 13 HIVE
• 3rd – 9 HIVE
• 4th – 7 HIVE
• 5th–10th – 3.5 HIVE each

Rating Prizes

• Best U2000 – 5 HIVE
• Best U1800 – 5 HIVE
• Best U1500 – 5 HIVE

Sandbagging and cheating will lead to disqualification and forfeiture of prizes back into the prize pool.

You can only win one prize. If you qualify for more than one, you’ll receive the higher prize.
