Hello everyone, how are you all? I hope you all are doing well and i too. As because of so many works i am not able to do regular posts and making weekly a post. This post is going to be fascinating. Why i am saying like this because you are going to see birth of one important structure. Those are Platelets.
We know how platelets are important and essential to our body and what happens when they are low or high.
When they are low in number it leads to bleeding and when they are high in number chances of thrombosis formation going to take place. Platelets should be in normal range.
The normal platelet count varies depending upon age and for adults it is 1.5 lakh to 4.5 lakh per cumm source
Production of platelets is so important. But where these platelets produced or formed or derived from?
Its in the bone marrow.
I did bone marrow aspiration and then during microscopic examination i found this fascinating pic that i am going to share.
Platelets are derived from megakaryocyte which is the largest hematopoietic cell in the bone marrow.
Platelets doesn't have nucleus. This is because platelets are derived from cytoplasm of megakaryocyte. The cytoplasm will gets pinched off and these are platelets and many platelets are derived from one megakaryocyte.
