'Waterfall' - Authentic Digital Illustration

Hello everyone! How are you guys doing? I hope everyone is doing well. Well, I am back again with another illustration using Ibispaint x. No exception to that.

This is one of my pieces that I have done a long long time ago, as far as I can recall I completed it last December and saved it on my laptop. It is quite a long time ago. While scrolling through my files I found it. So I thought to use it in between my illustration video so that it does not get boring. Let’s begin then.

image.png

Here I drew the basic waterfall flow using the marker tool. I also tried to use slightly different shades to make it look a little like a waterfall. Unfortunately, I am not an expert to make it look realistic but I try as much as I could.

Then I used the watercolor (point) tool to make the greenery mountain ground. After that, I gave a little detail like the dark patches using the marker tool. The reason I did this is because it will make a nice base for the grasses I am about to add.

image.png

Here I use the hair gloss 2 tools to draw the grasses. Yes, I know the tool is for hair but as long as it gives the effect that I want I am fine. You guys should know that sometimes certain tools work perfectly for different art or object than the main purpose it was made for. So yeah, I am here to give you guys some ideas on which tool might work out for you, in case you are using Ibispaint X.

Next part I drew some flower, small flowers, using the dip pen (hard) tool. Let’s just say default pen in this app but this tool works really great in here. I drew a bunch of them in one layer, then duplicated, resized, and move it so that would fill up the place.

image.png

Next, I added some fish to the water using the dip pen (hard) tool. Nothing much. In this part, I had to draw each fish individually but there is only a few to draw so it was fine.

image.png

Don’t you guys think that there should be some splashes in the waterfall? Well, there has to be some splashes because it won’t be a waterfall then. So I used the Pointillism 1 tool to draw little splashes.

image.png

Next, I added some butterflies. Now I don’t know if there are any purple butterflies but I just wanted to do that color. It looks pretty so why not.

image.png

Now I know I could have ended it from here but that’s too boring. I wanted to add more. MORE DETAILS. Don’t worry these are the last details. Here I drew a girl enjoying the beautiful nature. Gosh, how I wish I was her, but at the same time I don’t want to be. I hate the burning sun and the sweating feeling. So yeah……

Well, that’s the end of it here. I hope you guys have enjoyed the illustration and the post. See you guys on the next post until then bye everyone and take care.
