I think I'm reading your post for the second time and the way you described the rain and the race. I feel like this is a scene from a movie. 🙂 As I was reading the post, an imagination was forming before my eyes

It's nice you managed to get pulled into the experience :-). My knee is still purple and I walk almost normally now lol
