Hello Hive Community Members,

Today, I fixed one minor but critical bug related to @WorldMapPin integration in project Distriator.

Distriator + WorldMapPin

  • All business reviews added by business-consumers should show up on @WorldMapPin
  • We already integrated it but for some reason those reviews were not showing up on worldmappin.
  • Upon contacting worldmappin, we realised that it needed a minor correction.
  • We've fixed issue by adding necessary code change & it is been shipped on production.

Update Distriator

  • We request Distriator users to update app
  • Please make sure that you're using the latest version of Distriator.
  • It should show 1.0.0 (0123) in the drawer menu as indicated in the screenshot above.
  • With updated app of Distriator, you'll be able to publish your business review which will also show up on @worldmappin.

Are you actually going to make people write a proper review rather than posting one pic and all the advertising bumph for @distriator and calling it a review? Personally, I don't want to see any of this on @worldmappin, it totally dilutes its value to the community.

I do get your point & I did highlight same issue with product manager @starkerz.
I have also personally messaged several users to write a business review & not just random words.
I infact increased minimum number of characters from 50 to 120 characters.
Like I am telling people, come on, write something useful, tell something about the business & products you bought.
But they don't.

Application SCREAMS - write a business review.
It's PEOPLE who doesn't & just write some random words to process the claim.
The whole goal is to provide valuable business reviews to business, but that seems to be not happening at the moment.
I have same concerns as yours.
But I strongly believe that valid business reviews will make an impact - on hive, on distriator, on worldmappin & everywhere else.

I'll discuss with @starkerz one more time & let's see how it goes.

Thank you for the reply. I also absolutely believe that worldmappin has immense use case for business reviews, not just for distriator users but general Hive users too as can be seen by coffee community posts etc. I just want @worldmappin to be a success, and more importantly, a genuine, useful resource that will encourage people off-chain to join up.

Maybe we can ask @detlev to filter this info out so that it can only be seen if one selects the option to see "Spending of HBD" info. as i am sure you are aware, being able to see the economic centers of HBD on a map is very useful. Maybe not to you personally, but it is to others, and it proves use case of Worldmappin far beyond travel blogs only.

A review of minimum 60 characters is required. Also, they have to post more than one photo.

A filter is the long-time plan @starkerz. Until then it would be very helpful if you have the map as a selection and not an automated pin that happens with every post @sagarkothari88. Just like Peakd included it.

Users can set the location and decide for themselves if they add it to the map or not. Like that, we can make sure the location is right and don´t have too many posts on our curation side 😅

nice idea! im sure @sagarkothari88 can add a button to "add to worldmappin.com" if the user chooses to which is auto set to "do not add to worldmappin.com"
