Un reto viajar sola/ LOH Contest 238

For me, traveling alone was a tough challenge, since at that time the pandemic was still going on and tests had to be taken, it was not possible to travel directly from Venezuela to Spain due to political situations and although I was in contact with my children by cell phone, I was achieving something that was not so easy, but the desire to see them and hug them again could overcome these obstacles.

Although it was preferable to travel with someone, if I managed to do it, I would feel very brave and safe. I was very afraid, and receiving a thousand pieces of advice from them about things I shouldn't do at the airport made me laugh because I gave them that same advice when they traveled.

There I was with my suitcase at the airport in Venezuela, wanting to get there quickly so I could hug my children. I filled my head with images of that moment, hugging them, so I wouldn't feel so alone and act brave.

Although traveling alone wasn't my preferred option, I had to do it. Later, when I was in Spain with my children, we toured a good number of cities and my parents' hometown. I think traveling with someone was definitely better, but these were circumstances in which I had to be brave and do it alone. I spent eight months in Spain traveling, getting to know each other, completing paperwork, and enjoying a wonderful family.

Para mi viajar sola fue un duro reto, ya que en esos momentos todavía había la pandemia y había que hacerse exámenes, no se podía viajar directo de Venezuela a España por situaciones políticas y aunque estaba comunicada con mis hijos por el móvil, estaba logrando algo no tan fácil, pero las ganas de verlos y abrazarlos otra vez podían superar estos obstáculos.

Aunque era preferible viajar acompañada, pero si lograba hacerlo me sentiría muy valiente y segura. Tenía mucho temor y recibir mil consejos de ellos, de cosas que no debía hacer en el aeropuerto, me dio risa porque esos mismos consejos se los dí yo cuando ellos viajaron.

Allí estaba con mi maleta en el aeropuerto de Venezuela, queriendo llegar rápido para abrazar a mis hijos, me llene la cabeza de imágenes de ese momento abrazándolos para no sentirme tan sola y hacerme la valiente.

Aunque viajar sola no era mi opción preferida tuve que hacerlo, luego cuando ya estuve con mis hijos en España, recorrimos una buena cantidad de ciudades y el pueblo natal de mis padres. Creo que viajar acompañada fue mejor sin duda alguna, pero eran circunstancias en las que tuve que ser valiente y hacerlo sola. Estuve 8 meses en España viajando, conociendo, haciendo papeles y disfrutando una hermosa familia.
