Ngayon nalaman na natin na si Pi Network bago pa ilaunch ang token nila, ay 6 years na naka integrate sa mga stores sa mga bansa kagaya ng South Korea at Pilipinas. Yon din ang gusto nating mangyari kay HBD.

Which country?

Italy

Why is that?

Here, it seems that we just follow the US. Two or three years ago, bank officials bash crypto and exalt CBDC. Now we have two stablecoins, and there are many stores that accept Pi to trade for their goods. I will visit two this coming weekend.

I'm not 100% sure on the reasons, one could be that the state is being harsh on crypto, if you own crypto every year you need to declare its value, pay tax on them and pay tax on withdraw to your bank account... At this point one just gives up... That's why I would use bitrefill gift cards, totally anonymous...

Other reason could be we are a country of elders

Make a post in the visit!

Yes, I plan to do that. I am thinking of interviewing the owners of those two stores and see how the Pi payment system works. Perhaps we can learn something for HBD.

As for the situation in Italy, I am speechless whenever I stumble upon the state. I see it as an entity that is most useful when it focuses on its primary task of protecting people's lives, freedom, and property. Interfering in the personal finances of the people is not part of their task.

It would be cool to have a debit card with hbd, you go to a shop pass it and done

Yea, it's not good, whole europe is not crypto friendly, and not only for crypto, like my wage has automatically a cut of 35% gone in taxes

That's crazy. Politicians and bureaucrats are simply following popular anti-capitalist ideas. The academic community should take responsibility. It is they who influence the minds of society.

Yea, I'm pretty sure it can't go on forever like this tough

Note how Ludwig von Mises emphasized the need for better ideas to replace the bad ones in his book, Economic Policy:

Everything that happens in the social world in our time is the result of ideas. Good things and bad things. What is needed is to fight bad ideas. . . . We must substitute better ideas for wrong ideas. . . .These ideas must be brought to the public in such a way that they persuade people. We must convince them that these ideas are the right ideas and not the wrong ones. . . . What we need is nothing else than to substitute better ideas for bad ideas. . . . Our civilization will and must survive. And it will survive through better ideas than those which now govern most of the world today, and these better ideas will be developed by the rising generation" (p. 105).

I actually sold 300 Pi on the second day at $0.80 each and bought back 30 Pi yesterday at $1.36. Sell low and buy high. Funny me. 🀣

I did it after seeing a liquidity pool on Bitget with 144% APR. I used the remaining 70 Pi in my wallet plus the 30 Pi I bought and added them to the Pi Pool.

If you didn't tell me your experience I probably would end up doing the same...🀣 But you still have some in the pool so hopefully it'll end as a profit that'll cover up your initial loss πŸ™

Well, I used the remaining USDT I received from selling 300 Pi to buy 30 Pi at a higher price. So it's not a loss; it's more of a lesser profit.

oh ok I actually understand it now... So you're basically still in profits... Let me see if Pi is listed on Binance and see how much I can start with

I think not yet. Only 5 crypto exchanges applied for KYB: Bitget, OKX, MEXC, Pionex, and Gate.io.

I think Bybit was the one hacked after a day when the CEO seems to imply that Pi was a scam.

It appears now that businesses and communities in several countries have been integrating Pi into their payment system.
