Kicking Off Christmas 2024: A Tale of Two Parties

(Edited)

Last night, I attended the first Christmas party in 2024. The host was the student body of the school. I failed to take a photo of the event.

This morning, I went to Dampa, Seaside, located at Diosdado Macapagal Blvd., Pasay, Metro Manila, to attend the second Christmas Party. This time, the host is National Capital Region Presbytery—South Metro.

More or less together with pastors' and elders' wives, forty people attended the party.

I was not included in the photo. I was on the far right. There are four of us who were not shown. What have you done, Andrew? 😂

I was the first person who arrived at the location. I left the school ten minutes before eight in the morning. The travel time was fast, and so I arrived around 9:30 AM. The event was scheduled to start at 10 AM.

As an early bird, I helped our General Assembly Moderator and the Presbytery Treasurer to arrange the gifts prepared by Senators Allan and Pia and Mayor Lani Cayetano.

After an opening prayer by Rev. Tabije and welcome remarks from the Presbytery Moderator, we had our lunch fellowship.

This is the third time we celebrated at J Squared; that's the name of the restaurant.

I failed to take a picture of the other menu. There are five more.

After the delicious lunch, the gift-giving follows.

First, a cash gift from the NCRP-SM.

That's our handsome Moderator of NCRP-SM, Rev. Edgar Adra.

Here's the gift from the Cayetano family solicited by the beloved Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of the Philippines, Rev. Nelson Dangan.

With my friends, Danny and Lito and their wives, and also our former youth pastor, Rob, who is now a senior pastor in a local church.

Our beloved GA Moderator with the presbytery elders, two pastors, and a missionary couple.

Last but not least, is the table for the millennials. 😄
