The Ultimate Guide to Citizen Tax Refund ROI

Today I will explain how I look at Citizen Tax Refund stats to be able to ROI effectively.

Also sharing my progress today while I examined the markets for deals to increase my Tax Refund payout.

I am working to claim the next tier of rewards on the Income leaderboard.

There are several ways to earn in dCity but I am only looking at Tax Refund from Citizens today which requires a combination of a few stats to qualify.

Taxed city SIM income returns to player as tax refund. This way your city can create a minimal SIM income even when taxes are very high. Tax refund can't be higher than paid taxes. At the moment there are 47 cards that can give you tax refund: - dcity.io

First you need Income which is taxed based on SIMflation(the current SIM print rate) currently sitting at 116% tax rate.

The Income stat is available to everyone in most Buildings but also some key Citizens like the Economist allow Mayors(players) to Rank the Top 400 and start a strategy of gameplay called Citizen Farming.

For beginners this Tax Refund Guide will be the most effective way to realize passive ROI gameplay outside Citizen Farming which is dependent upon marketplace action.

Let's Look at Tax Refund Citizens

There are 47 cards that offer Tax Refund but only 21 Citizens will make the cut in this guide.

We will not be including Young Citizens or their Student counterparts as training does not always produce Tax Refund stats.

There are several citizens that can be obtained that do not have Tax Refund stats and some of them are even considered negative towards your city but they all still provide Population and retain value in that capacity or in Combines.

This table has ranked citizens based on the highest to lowest ROI time from top to bottom.

This connection between SIM cost and Tax Refund allows Mayors to see the exact amount of days it will take to ROI based on daily passive income payouts.

As you can see the best options for the fastest ROI are the Sick Citizen, Super Cop, Doctor, and Politician.

I managed to purchase a few key citizens today that allowed me to increase my tax refund by a total of 25.

With the purchase of a Super Cop, Lawyer and experiments on five Homeless hoping to get Super Citizens but I only got Sick Citizens which provide a variable Tax Refund based on the current Presidents choices while in office.

Experiments are a way to make better use of undesirable citizens giving them Tax Refund utility to ROI and they cost 200 SIM per citizen.

At this time, it is only recommended to Experiment on Homeless citizens.

Example Starter City:

• 1x Barber Shop cost 759 SIM
• 1x Sick Citizen cost 998 SIM
• 1x Economist cost 2200 SIM
• 1x Eco Activist cost 2000 SIM

Total Cost = 5957 SIM

This city produces 4 SIM per day in Tax Refund plus 1 Young Citizen claim in dcity discord valued at 990 SIM and 8.456 SIM income rank rewards.
