How to Start Your Own Wind Farm for 1 HIVE
Advancing the 100x Windmill Economy
Welcome back, dCity strategists! In my last strategy post, I introduced you to the concept of turning 1 HIVE into a potential 100x return using the Windmill Economy and Citizen Trainer strategy. Now, we’re taking things a step further by outlining the path toward unlocking the Wind Farm combine and maximizing your city's SIM income using Eco Energy from the very beginning.
dCity is a city simulator game based on Hive-Engine Non-Fungible Tokens. The NFTs represent assets in the game. Each individual card is a building, citizen, etc., and the total collection of your cards is your city. dCity allow players to optimize their cities in terms of buildings, population and income. -dcity.io/info

Let’s dive into these powerful updates and show how this revised strategy could further skyrocket your city’s potential!
Recap: The Core of the Windmill Strategy
For those who missed the initial post, here's a quick refresher:
- Windmills (Wind Turbines) are the centerpiece of this strategy, offering a favorable 3:2 Worker-to-Income Ratio.
- The goal is to reinvest SIM earned from Windmills and Young Citizens to expand the city and consistently mint new, higher-value citizens.
- By focusing on scaling Windmill ownership, you can progressively increase your income, allowing you to build toward the top 400 leaderboard.
The New Meta: Eco Energy + Wind Farm
To elevate this strategy further, we now integrate Eco Energy into the equation early on and aim to complete the Wind Farm combine over time.
Why Eco Energy?
The Eco Energy card costs 1800 SIM and adds +2 Income to every Wind Turbine you own. When applied to even a small number of Windmills, this card becomes a game-changer for boosting SIM income.
The Revised Approach:
- Start with 1 HIVE or 5k SIM: Just like before, you invest in your first Windmill and gradually reinvest in Economists and Wind Turbines.
- Save for Eco Energy: Your first major milestone should be acquiring the Eco Energy card for 1800 SIM as soon as possible. This will upgrade the income from each Wind Turbine from +3 SIM/day to +5 SIM/day.
- Reinvest in Windmills: With Eco Energy in place, you can now scale your Wind Turbines much faster, generating higher daily SIM income and accelerating your reinvestment strategy.
The Path to the Wind Farm
Once you have 25 Wind Turbines generating 125 SIM/day (alongside your base income), the next goal is unlocking the powerful Wind Farm combine. The combine will further optimize your Wind Turbines, bringing you one step closer to dominating dCity.
Here’s what you’ll need for the combine:
- 5 Power Lines: 6777 SIM each (33,885 SIM total).
- 1 Construction Site: 2198 SIM.
- 1 Basic Automation: 9500 SIM.
- 1 Energy Reload: 2287 SIM.
Total Cost: 47,870 SIM
How Long Will It Take?
After reaching 25 Windmills, the daily income from your city (including the base strategy) will be approximately 1139 SIM/day. Using this income to save for the Wind Farm combine, you’ll be able to complete the full set in about 160 days.
That's less time than it takes for Citizen Training...
This timeline includes reinvestments, but with steady daily play, you can unlock the full power of the Wind Farm, significantly boosting your city’s potential for even greater returns.
Conclusion: Maximizing Your City's Potential
With Eco Energy increasing Wind Turbine efficiency from the start and a clear path toward the Wind Farm, this updated strategy will allow you to generate passive income and mint valuable citizens faster. Over time, the combination of these advancements could help you achieve your 100x goal even sooner than originally projected.
The future of dCity lies in strategic investments, scaling your Wind Turbines, and training citizens to maximize returns. With the right planning and dedication, your 1 HIVE investment could yield remarkable results.
Now it's time to put the plan into action! Stay consistent with your daily reinvestments, track the SIM market, and watch as your Windmill city thrives. The Wind Farm combine is within reach, and the rewards will be worth the effort!
Happy building, and I'll see you in the top 400!
Interesting, searched about wind turbine once and also got some for income, but not about the combined wind farm, I need to research, I see its kinda recent, 45 tax refund is very nice and income can vary a lot, dunno how it happens. But so, the solar plant also looked like a good deal with + eco energy + dyson sphere, and eco tax is a bonus if so...
But you now are right on whats cost effective, cause their asks went up already, and wind turbine looks better for income now... There is this differential in popularity that will impact cost to fulfill it too, so not such easy math, would need to compare population buildings also, I wasnt even sure on comparision before cause of that...
I'll try to write a post too on whats my overall strategy. Although not a nice guide like that... This one looks very good for beginners.

Wind Farm lives forever with tax refund while citizens can and will die at some point. I expect prices will change eventually but there is a pretty large supply of Wind Turbines with a decrease in market value.
