If it was "left over" (house paid off, renos done, us set up for retirement including funeral plans despite J's protests about that, kids set up, enough for J to play stock market) or what was getting generated by interest/stock/crypto market success then yes (and it would be going to very specific things). There's only so much we need to be happy and spending on stupid things for the sake of spending/having something is stupid.
