The Harsh Reality of Pollution in my Community

Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment. These harmful materials are called pollutants, pollutants can be natural but they can also be created by human activity such as trash or run off produced by factories. Presently now my street is really suffering from pollution all the new houses connected their toilet pipes to the road so once rain falls the road of the streets usually gets messy because the rain and the dirty water coming outside the pipe is going to get mixed up on the road.

I couldn't cope with it because we are already in a raining season l can't be swimming the water everytime l'm going out so l had to move to my uncle's place for now l mean these are things the government shouldn't ignore honestly. To me pollution not only undermines sustainable economic growth but it also significantly contribute to climate change. I'm a very good student at biology when l was in secondary school so l understand the various pollution and their effects. Water pollution not only endangers the health of human being, it can put an entire ecosystem at risk by harming aquatic species, when streams, rivers, lakes, oceans and other bodies of water becomes contaminated, it degrades water quality and makes it toxic to human beings and the environment.

For soil pollution contaminated soils can leach toxic chemicals into nearby ground or surface waters, where these materials can be taken up by plants and animals. In today's global society many environmental issues can diminish the quality of life on earth, including over production of waste, the destruction of natural habitats and the pollution of our air, water and other resources. Environmental issues are harmful consequences of human activity on the natural environment. Even the Noise pollution is really bad as it may affect people's ability to focus, which can lead to low performance over time, it is bad for the memory making it hard to study. Noise pollution could also lead to stress related illnesses, high blood pressure, speech interference, hearing loss and sleep disruption. All these pollution are bad to me but the one l would pick among all is the air pollution.

Air pollution affects all things it is harmful to our health and it impacts the environment by reducing visibility and blocking sunlight causing acid rain, air pollution is the largest environmental threat to human health world wide.

For me we can put an end to pollution if we properly dispose those motor oil and chemicals, use fertilizers and pesticides on lawns and gardens, put trash in its place, organize neighborhood clean up, recycle plastic, glass and papers, we all could achieve this goal of putting pollution to an end if only we act towards it and have one mind.
