A Trip To Ikeja With A Friend|| Dreemport+ WorldMapping Week 2

For our week 2 challenge of the dreemport collaboration with worldmapping, we are to give account of a place we visited far from home.

I would like to give account of the time my friend and I took a trip down to Balogun street, Ikeja, Lagos State.

My friend and colleague at work, Monica had called to inform me she wanted to deliver a package to her aunt and asked that I go with her which I was very excited to go.

On the day we were to go on our journey, I left my home for hers which was a very short distance from mine. While I wait for her to round off before we start our journey, I helped myself to two meat pies, courtesy of her with a very chilled juice.

We started our journey from around Badagry area and took about three buses to our destination which was at Balogun, Ikeja, Lagos State.

I could recall that while onboard the third bus, the driver took us through the Airport Road. We arrived at her aunt's and was well received (it seems being hospitable runs in their family). We stayed at her aunt's for some time, watching movies and eating of course 😃😃😃.

On our way back, we noted the 3C HUB(where mobile phones and other accessories and gadgets are sold) we saw earlier and decided to make a stop there as Monica mentioned she might be needing a new phone as the previous one she had was faulty.

We decided to go window shopping as that would afford us the opportunity to compare the prices of phones around there with the 3C HUB we have back home.

Getting inside, their sales representative attended to us like we were celebrities. It seems that day was my "special treatment day" as I was just having fun left, right,centre. The sales representative probably thought we were coming to buy as many phones or that might just be their way of treating all their customers.

We were shown different phone models and they explained the phone specifications, prices and so on. We went from one phone stall to the other and we were well attended to. Monica ended up settling for a Techno phone. Of course she didn't buy it since we were just window shopping. I actually wished we bought something there though but since she didn't plan on it, we had to leave finally.

After leaving the 3C Hub, I learned from my Monica that the Muritala Mohammed Airport was about an hour walking distance from our location.

I thought of us going to the Airport but I later decided against it as we needed to leave on time if we planned to beat traffic and besides I want my time visiting the Airport to be very memorable and not rushed.

We got back to our respective homes later in the evening. She called to thank me for accompanying her to her aunt's which was more than a pleasure for me because I was glad I went on that trip with her.

Thank you all for reading.
