Hearing About Rising Star For The First Time
Hive never stops surprising me. I have been around here for some time now, and I keep finding new things that I didn’t even know existed. Just when you think you have seen everything, something else shows up. That was my reaction when I came across this week’s Hive Naija prompt about Rising Star. Honestly, this is my first time hearing about it. I haven’t played the game before, and I didn’t even know such a thing was here on Hive.
From checking around, I got to understand that Rising Star is a music career game built on the blockchain. The idea is that you start as an upcoming musician and you try to grow step by step by doing missions. As you progress, you earn something called STARBITS, which is like the money inside the game. The interesting part is that STARBITS is not just for fun, you can use it to buy cards or even exchange it for Hive. That makes it both a game and an earning opportunity.
What really caught my attention is the theme. A lot of blockchain games are about farming, battles, or random characters that don’t feel connected to real life. But Rising Star is about music, and music is something that everyone can relate with. Almost every person has once imagined themselves as an artist performing in front of people. This game makes that journey into a fun experience while also rewarding you.
I also saw that there are cards in the game. These cards could be instruments, band members, or other things that can help you grow. That makes the game look more interesting because it’s not only about repeating the same mission but also about building your own collection. For people who like collecting things, that part will definitely be exciting.
Now, one thing that I think could be a challenge is the entry point for new players. Sometimes blockchain games can be confusing at first. If someone doesn’t understand how energy works, which missions to start with, or how to use STARBITS, they might feel lost. I hope Rising Star has simple tutorials to guide new players because that will help more people stay in the game instead of quitting too early.
My question to the Rising Star is this,
Is there a way for someone to join and enjoy the game even without knowing too much about blockchain? Because that is one thing that scares beginners away, and I feel if that part is made easier, more people would join.
For me, finding out about Rising Star at this point just shows that Hive is still full of hidden gems. I may not have played the game yet, but the whole idea sounds fun and creative. I like that it connects music, gaming, and earning together in one place. It might even be something I will try out soon just to see how it feels.

If they are already on HIVE and have used the keychain browser extension then they don't need to know anything else about blockchain to get started.
