We Grab the Opportunity of Having Lovely Weather and Take a Walk Outside: Visiting an Old Neighbor and Buying Japanese Siomai on the Way

I'm really thankful that the weather today is a little gloomy and not extremely hot like in the previous week, no Mr. Sunny, lol - just the sad weather ( ꈍᴗꈍ). It's like it's going to rain, but I think the rain is getting a little shy seeing as nothing's happening yet. Anyway, because of this gloomy weather, we decided to go outside and have a little walk outside. This kind of weather rarely happens, so we grab the opportunity. It's the perfect time to go out and stroll around. See the photos above, it's already 8:00 a.m., but the sun is still hiding, which is really great and
is in favor of us (人 •͈ᴗ•͈).

I'm walking side by side with Mom, of course she's holding onto my arms. Mom can walk, but as you know, there are times that her legs will go jelly on her, so as a safety measure, I always had her cling to my arms so she wouldn't accidentally slip or fall. Anyway, just when we were already close to our destination, that's when she decided to let go and walk on her own. She even encouraged me to take photos while she just walked slowly. What a very supportive mother she is, she's the best!

We're finally here. I let Mom sit on the chair while I went to the counter to withdraw some cash from her ATM card. This is her pension for three months, she only gets 2000 pesos per month, not even enough to sustain all her needs, but still a big help for us. It's hard, though, because she also has her maintenance medicine for high blood pressure. I'm just glad that she doesn't experience high blood pressure that often. And I know this little walk of ours helps her too. I mean, we all need this every once in a while, right? A short walk to exercise the our short legs (≧▽≦).

Oh, what a wonderful day! But I have to confess that this nice weather didn't last long. But the good thing was, we were already home when Mr. Sunny decided to show up. So for the whole duration of our walk, we get to enjoy a really nice weather. Here's pretty flowers, which made our day more pleasant. There are a lot of these on the way, different kinds. But I like this better, as it shines the most to me. The vibrant color really just fits in this wonderful day.

So, we're done here. The plan is to walk straight ahead and head home. But then, mother changed plans at the last minute. She said she wants to take the other route, going home, and not the one on the highway, which is far closer if we take that route. But she said she wanted to go the other route because she planned to go visit someone, she just really wanted to try. Someone has owed her money, and she wants to get the money back. It's long overdue already, imagine 15 years already, according to her.

So we took this way. I passed by this old house, which was a small eatery before where we often had our lunch break, that was during college days. I really love the soup they serve here because, even though my lunch is boring, just with the soup, I can eat all the rice on my plate and it is easier to swallow. I just remember it, it's been a long time since they stopped operating. It's like my mama's small eatery ಥ‿ಥ.

By the way, we're finally here. We're early because when we get here, the shop is still close. They are located closer to PUP before, but they moved here, I am not sure why. But I remember them even before, because they were our neighbors in our old house, and that's when they got the debt from my mom.

When they started talking, I decided to look around their computer shop. I think they only have a few computers that are working now. I remember they had a lot before. But I guess, with how easy it is to have a smartphone now, some won't need to go visit a computer shop anymore, and that is maybe why they didn't bother to add more. So I think they are affected by that. It's a good thing, though, that they offer other services here.

After a few minutes of talking, they decided to say goodbye to each other. Mommy left with a happy heart, as she was able to get 500 PHP. How I wish she just paid Mom in full. Mom said that at least she got her money back, though it's not a full payment. She also said that it's up to them when they decide to pay the remaining amount. Anyway, after that, we visit this shop here to get some snacks. I feel like it's just yesterday when this building was still empty. Now there are more shops in here, mostly a snack shop.

We then walk on our way home after visiting this small eatery. I want to buy Pancit, too bad it's already gone when we get there. I just bought some lumpia to pair with the Japanese siomai we bought.

I was so hungry after that short walk, lol. I only had coffee and a boiled banana that morning, and that's not enough to make me full. I ate my Lumpiang Shanghai and Japanese Siomai with rice. What a perfect way to end that wonderful walk (✿ ♡‿♡). So yep, I had early lunch at 9 a.m, I had my breakfast at 6 a.m, hehe.
