[WE-256] Sugar Means Sweet Treats and Cutting Out Sugar Means Cutting Out my Favorite Bread, Cakes, Chocolates and a Lot More

IMG_20250504_125513.jpg

When I discovered that even sugar can worsen nasal polyps, I decided to lessen my sugar intake. I even tried to stop taking it completely. But it's not as easy as it may sound, especially since I kind of like sweet foods. To be honest, my doctor didn't say that sweet food is not allowed. But I feel like he's just saying it to recur my nasal polyp so that he can operate on my nose again. He didn't say anything about what foods not to take, as according to him, I can eat anything. Hah! Seriously! ಠಗಠ

So I did research on my own. Although sweets can't really be the reason to grow nasal polyps, they can lead to inflammation, which can worsen the nasal polyps. The polyp in my nose is the recurring type, so this is really bad news for me. But, yeah, I couldn't stick to my own promise not to take sweet foods with refined sugar. I can't avoid it, I mean, I can, but my mouth won't allow me (╥﹏╥). Ahhh! I'm the worst! Ice cream? Cakes? Chocolates? Nah! They're too good to avoid. Can you actually avoid it?

Cutting it permanently means I had to say bye-bye to my favorite bread. Pairing it with coffee or milk is the best that too, I had to say bye-bye to it. But I can't give up on them completely. I can take not drinking or eating them for a month, but permanently? Oh please NO, NO! You know, while eating lots of sweets these days, in my head I was like, "Well, at least I can die happy." Lol. Yeah, I know it's a bad mindset and thinking, but I can't resist them. It's hard to say no to sugar! Sugar means sweet treats!

So to answer this question: Could you cut out sugar permanently?

IMG_20250504_131616.jpg

Nope, I can't! I'll fail miserably. We even put sugar in some of the dishes we make to balance the taste. I mean, a dish with a hint of sweetness in it tastes good too, right? We won't be able to experience the goodness of those dishes if we cut sugar in our lives. No way, man.

IMG_20250504_130836.jpg

I can't cut it out completely in my life, but I can control how much I consume it. I maybe eat ice cream, but rarely, like last month I had it three times, I haven't had it again this month. I eat chocolate, but really, even though I want to eat this every day, I can't because it's too much for my wallet. But thanks to that, I can control eating chocolates.

Anyways, here! I had it the other day. A slice of avocado with a lot of brown sugar in it. Some prefer to put milk in it but I prefer to eat it this way. I can enjoy it more. Uh, yeah, it has lots of sugar. ♪┌|∵|┘♪

And then this morning, I had this sweetened banana with the oldies, they are still green, so it's not ripe yet which is good for this recipe. But you know, It'll taste even better with coconut milk but I could't buy some in the market. It's raining hard since last night here, so having this hot is really perfect. See, I can't just cut sugar out of my life. There's just a lot to give up ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌. Can you do it?

And sugar has good benefits too for our bodies, right? Having too much of it is bad, of course, but having enough can bring happiness and even a nice and healthy body. ♪ \(^ω^\ )

Sweets are tough to avoid. You can still have them, but in a lot less than usual. :) I know it's unhealthy, but I think sweets may be bad for our physical health, but they're good for our mental health. hahaha It's true, but it sounds like I'm just trying to reason out. Lol

That's really true, the sweet-tooth struggle is very real. But honestly, it's awesome that you're acknowledging it and trying to make healthy choices. Kudos to you for trying to find a balance – that avocado with brown sugar is very delicious, kamiss kumain nyan.

Yes I totally agree, it is all about balance! Sugar gets a bad rap sometimes, but in the right amounts, it can definitely be part of a healthy and happy lifestyle. Plus life without the occasional sweet treat just wouldn't be the same
