Planting Seeds, Harvesting Happiness: No More Guessing Game, Kabagwang or Kundol -It's the Name of the New Plant ft. The Surviving 5 Okra Trees

Mama finally have a name to the new plants that suddenly sprout in her garden. I thought it is squash but for her it is not. It is really not because according to her it is a "Kabagwang." Like what kind of word is this? It's not a tagalog no? When I look for it on google, I found out that kabagwang is actually "Kundol" or Wax Gourd. Seriously, finally, we know what to call it. Kundol is actually in the "Bahay Kubo" songs but I don't really know what it looks like. Now I finally have an idea what it looks like. And, good news, I saw one kundol in one of it's flowers. I checked the others too but they are all just flowers. Only one has bear fruits.

So while having my afternoon walk in the yard, Mama called me saying ahe finally know what's the name of it. That it is called "Kabagwang." At first, I had no idea what she's saying but after asking again, it is actually the new plants that she's talking about. I got excited after hearing it so I checked it. At first I can't find it so mama had to move closer to point it out to me. Lol. Like it is small and really hiding in its pretty flower, so how am I supposed to see it no? Lol. It is so tiny and cute, aside from that its big leaves are covering it. See (^∇^)ノ♪

There it is, can you see it's spiky skin? They will turn grayish once they grow bigger. It has other name too by the way, like Ask Gourd, Winter Gourd, White Gourd and more. Just with the name right? And when you see it's appearance you'll understand why they have those name though I am not sure too if that's really the reason for their names. It's just a guess.

Here's a closer shot of it. I am really excited for them to grow. Mama said this plants can really sprout lots of fruits, not sure if its true. But if she said it is, then it really is. She also said this can be made too as candy. Some make sweets out of it. Now i am more curious. Though it has this appearance, but it looks similar too with "Upo" or Calabash and also known as bottle gourd.

How long I have to wait before the Kundol grow bigger? I can't wait!!! ←(>▽<)ノ. And it really has a lot of flowers right now. Awesomeness!

By the way, let me also share how big our Okra now. It become taller now but of course it is not bearing its fruits yet.

Here's the second tree of it. They are really growing fast -wait, the time is really just moving too fast that's why it feels that way no?

The third and the fourth tree -yeah we really have lots of Okra. Its Mama's goal to spread them like this.

And the fifth tree. They are near the Papaya Tree. Seriously, there's more in there but some didn't survive. One reason was the lil pups playing with it. Lol. Aigoooo

I actually caught one one destroyer here today. And the target this time is the Alugbati (≧▽≦). But she'll never get punish just because of this. We can just plant them again and grow more of them in the yard, but this cutie, she's cute so nevermind punishment. She actually deserve more treats, right? Right?
