Kinda "Expensive" Treat for the Fam: It's Not in the Plan, but I Bought Egg Pie and Toasted Mamon

I don't even have the plan to post about food today, but then, Mommy F suddenly asked me to go cash in some money via GCash. While walking there I was wishing that a nearby shop where I cash in via GCash has available money on their GCash. But I guess luck is not with me today because cash out is the only one available today. Like why?

And it is really hot outside, I don't feel like doing long walk because of my period. But I had to do just that because the next shop where I often cash in some money is a lil far from home. And seriously! Mr. Sunny's out there, like he planning to kill everyone with heatstroke ʘ⁠‿⁠ʘ.

And so, I reached my destination, had some transaction there and on my way back home, there's that bakery trying to seduce me. And actually, i've been eyeing their Egg Pie for a while now. I can always stop myself buying it, but today... I gave in to the temptation. Why? Coz I deserve it!

Or not?

Maybe yes?

I mean, I should reward myself no?

Well, whatever!

Here's the available bread in there, they have cake, donut, ensaymada and the egg pie. Seriously, I got surprised with the price of the slice of their cake, and they're not even that big. That cake with orange icing is 40 pesos, but it has fillings too, It looks good but the price's too much for the poor me. Lol

And so, I decided to stick to what I've craving which is egg pie. I actually bought just one slice and shared a bit to the oldies. Of course I also bought other things to give to them. Like toasted mamon which is also my favorite. I also bought some toasted bread but on a different bakery shop.

So let's talk about the Egg Pie. As you can see its to thin, haha, for me. Not so sure if that's the eight thickness for it but I really wish it is a lil thicker than this. For the dough, its crunchy, a little hard as well but its the kind of crunchiness that I like.

And for its inside, WOW! Its very different to the cheap egg pie I often buy in this one bakery I know before. This one is really good! I so love the texture too. This one is soft and I can really taste the goodness of it. Hah! This one is forty pesos and I can't afford to buy it everyday. I wish I can huhu.

So for the next foodie, its the toasted mamon which is also my favorite. This is not the brand I often buy before, back then, one pack has 6 pieces of toasted mamon inside and its 5 pesos only. Haha. Yep, back then, that price is just memories. Lol. This four pieces is 32 pesos, 8 pesos per pack with four mamon inside. Still, for its taste, its not a bad price.

For its texture, it is kind of airy and its toasted -love its crunch! Mommy D said its really eggy, and it is not dweet which is true. Too much sweetness is bad so having this not so sweet meryenda is just awesome!

The oldies said they like this too, same with the Egg Pie. This is egg which is not good for Mommy F but it is only just for today. It'd be a bit bad if we didn't indulge ourselves with yummy food sometimes no? Too much is bad, but just a tiny bit is okay? Right? Right? ＼⁠(⁠^⁠o⁠^⁠)⁠／

By the way, Mommy F recognized it immediately after biting it. I remember her baking this hack when our bakery is still operating. Sadly, I can't remember the taste of her egg pie. She also bake custard cake then, now I also want custard cakey. ƪ⁠(⁠‾⁠.⁠‾⁠“⁠)⁠┐
