It's a Productive Sunday Too: Morning Routines and Buying Our Morning Snacks, Kalamay Balinghoy with Cheese and Biko with Latik

I can't believe how productive I always start my day. I feel like I became a dedicated nanny for our cat, lol. It starts with fetching water for the kitchen, then heating water for our breakfast. After that is breakfast, yes. I will just rest for a bit and then will proceed on to cleaning the garage where our cats sleep. Before that, Mommy D always woke at 4 am, sometimes 5, to clean their poops. But even after that, when I check on them at 6, there's still poop and pee on their tray, so I have to pick it up and clean it up again. After that is cleaning their cage, and then I also have to clean the floor because their pee can sometimes overflow on their tray, so the floor might smell, so I have to clean it with soap and Clorox. Brush, brush, brush, and then use a "walis tingting" or a broom to clean it thoroughly.

Seriously, doing this every day is really exhausting, but I am used to it now. Mommy D even volunteered to fetch water for me to use on cleaning, but I declined. I don't like it when someone commands me to do this and that, especially if it's already on my plan to do them. Mommy D is just like that, commanding me to do this and that, and I hate it. Maybe she's thinking I don't plan to clean the garage thoroughly, that's why she feels like she needs to command me to do it. But I feel like I am a maid when she does that. I don't have a problem with our awesome maid out there, of course, still, I just hate the feeling when someone is commanding me. I do the cleaning my way, and I feel more fulfilled after doing all that. I can say that I do all that, me! Who hate cleaning. Lol.

And of course that's not the end of my morning routine. And this day too, I went to the market with Mama to buy ingredients for the dish were planning to cook for lunch. It's Sunday so there's Tiangge-an.

Our stay there is fast and furious, I mean, we didn't stay long in there. Knowing the items beforehand can help for a fast shopping time.

We stop by too in the kakanin stalls because I am already hungry, haha. I think the cleaning and fetching water I did in the morning got the best of me and now i'm hungry. There's a lot to choose from here but I want puto or rice cake made with rice. I don't really like puto that is made with flour.

We also go to the meat section to buy chicken. This is for me because I am not a fan of Susi or snails. Yes, we're having Ginataang Suso again, lol.

And after getting all the things we need in the market, we then walk back home to prepare our lunch this time.

And because I am already hungry, I checked the kakanin I bought but before that, it's picture taking time! Lol. It's a Sinukmani and Ube Kalamay Balenghoy. Each one cost 15 pesos.

And this is the Sinukmani, last time I shared the one with Coco Jam in it, but this one is different because it has Latik on top. You can get Latik when you cook a coconut milk and get the oil out from it. Something like that, its really hard to explain, lol.

And so yes, I enjoy this with the oldies. And just like last time I didn't eat much of it because it's bad for my stomach, lol. I just eat one slice of each and let the oldies eat the rest.

And next is this, it's called Ube Kalamay na Balinghoy (cassava). And this one's topped with grated cheese. I thought it was made with glutinous flour but it's not.

And I love the cheese on top, it goes perfectly well with the kalamay. Like the creaminess of the cheese is just perfect in every bite. I just wish they put more on top though. But well, if they put a lot then they will surely have to put a higher price in it. I enjoy this too, Mommy F enjoyed the Kalamay as well. It is soft and just enough chewiness in it. Me likey!

So yeah, after the tiring morning routine, a morning snack comes next. Glad I bought some of this.
