Happy Lazy Sunday: Picking Up Miracle Fruit, Biko With Latik for Breakfast, and Buying Ingredients for My Sautéed Potatoes with Canned Ground Pork

Mommy F's been saying how much she wants to eat Snail Stew again, and I was like, we just had it last Sunday though. She's so enthusiastic about it while I was just meh. I mean, I mentioned this last time that I am not a fan of snails. I can eat it, but not as much as what the oldies can eat. Even Mama loves Ginataang Suso. The only thing I like about Snail Stew was it's stew as well as the veggies we put in it, like last time we used Eggplant and Squash and that Pako.

But today, as Mommy F's craves for it again, she only asked me to get Fiddlehead Fern or Pako so that's the only veggie I bought in the tiangge-an. And because I am craving for something else, I bought something for myself which is just potatoes and canned ground pork. Actually, I just want potatoes but I can't think of any recipe for just potatoes, so I bought ground pork in a can. I'll just sautee it in garlic and onions and some seasonings.

It's Sunday, meaning Tiangge-an day! We headed to the market early in the morning. And during our walk, I enjoyed looking and capturing photos of these pretty flowers. And because it rains this morning, actually it's been raining here since last night, it willa stop then will rain again. It's just the same scenario again this morning. And coz of that every plants and foowers are wet and had raindrops on it.

Look at that bright yellow flowers, it's so bright and really pretty. And look at all those raindrops, some tiny insects is also resting in one if the flowers.

Here's another pretty thing we saw on the way, it's Mama who picked it in this tree. I thought it looks like a grapes, but after examining it, It look more like a Duhat. It's a sour fruit here in the Philippines. It's been a long time since I last eaten one. Duhat is good when dip in a salt. But this one has different color maybe this is a different variety of Duhat, or, it's because it's not ripe yet.

I tried to open it by cutting it in half, and here's what it looks like... I also look for it tru google lens and it says Miracle Fruit with a scientific name: Synsepalum dulcificum, its like a berry. It's not Duhat then ┐⁠(⁠￣⁠ヘ⁠￣⁠)⁠┌

Here's another pretty one. It caught my eyes because the tree is in full bloom and you can see it's white flowers in every branch. This was located in the side if one of the restaurant there. I'm sure these flowers will attract a lot of costumers.

Anyways, here we are in the Tiangge-an, we already bought the Snails and Pako here so we're about to head at the Coconut shop at the main market.

Before we headed there, Mama check the stalls that sells different kind of Kakanin. I think she haven't her breakfast yet. I also want to buy but I still have toasted bread at home, lol. Mama got two kind of kakanin, the Biko and that one with coco jam in top. Sadly, I don't have a photo of it. Lol

After going home, I immediately prepared all the ingredients needed in the Snails Stew. From cleaning everything and cutting all the aromatics. By the time, this time Mommy D decided to use a fresh Turmeric in this Ginataan. To also give color in the dish, though it is still a pale yellow.

And here's my sauteed Ground Pork in a Can with Potatoes. I had early lunch because of this. I love how I cooked and seasoned it. I didn't think of adding Carrot in it but I really think it will taste good with it. Too bad I realized it too late.

After great lunch was dessert time! And just craved for it after seeing Mama munching it yesterday. Haha, and for some reason, I can smell and taste that time. So smelling it made me really drool for it and now, here it is enjoying it too. ┏(＾0＾)┛
