A Quick Stroll in Gloria Market Zone: Everything We Need, From Different Kind of Crops, Condiments, and Coconut Vinegar
After visiting my niece with Mama, we headed to the terminal, which is, by the way, closer to the market, it is available every Saturday here in Gloria. In Bansud, you can experience Market Market two times a week, but I'm not sure about Gloria. On this kind of day, you can see different sellers build their small stalls here, where they will put their products. The last time I saw them, they also had a thrift shop built here. And every regular day, this spot will be cleared, as if nothing happened. Just like in Bansud.
We were about to get home at that time, but then, after seeing different crops, Mama couldn't help but stop by here. You can see different kinds of products here, though they're just the same as those you often see in the regular market, but their prices can be a little cheaper compared to the other ones. And cheaper means you can buy more products. And that's why people still flock in here, some wake up early to catch a worm, lol. It's an edible worm —not the scary kind, okay ┏(^0^)┛. Lol.
But you know, building and clearing their stalls with those heavy-looking things could be hard. It takes a lot of effort too, but people will still do it anyway - for their business and so that they can put food on their table. But in this kind of place, you can also see those people who'll still ask for a discount even though they are already cheaper than the other regular. It's sad, and I often remind Mom not to ask for any more discounts because she's actually one of them, but she likes it when she's able to ask for a little more. I'm the one who'll feel ashamed at times because of that ( ꈍᴗꈍ).
But please notice how organized their place is here. They don't just put their products on the ground, which is what you can see in Bansud every Friday and Sunday. This is more neat than what we have in Bansud. But it also looks boring. Though cleanliness is a must, buying in the Bansud market is still much better, it's more fun, I mean, lol. Even though our market is a mess, people flood that market zone too. And I'm happy for the sellers because they can earn more than on regular days. Weekends are when most people go outside. Well, you know, they are free from work and everything, so they can make time.
But anyway, these are the products they sell here. Look at Mama, already inquiring about someone. You can find different products here that would be useful in your kitchen. They even sell MSG, knorr cubes, and soy sauce - aside from all the crops. They have eggs too, as you can see. They have melons and peanuts too, even a sweet potato - this one's so expensive now, huhu. From 30 before to effing 70 PHP. And it depends too on the size and color - there's yellow and purple.
And, oh, we pass by here with the one that's already close. They just cover it up like that. Maybe they went somewhere, they'll surely go back here later because, as I've mentioned, this place has to be cleared. Gosh, it's really a bit of a hassle because they have to remove everything. But well (⊙_◎). By the way, did you see those big bottles in the second photo? If it's not cooking oil, it's either fish sauce or vinegar. Their vinegar here is made from coconut water. I think that is better than those you buy in a store. This one's cheap too. Like, 1 liter is only 35 pesos, so affordable. I'm not just sure about their oil and fish sauce, for sure, they're higher than the vinegar.
And here's the coconut vinegar, they still look white but it's super sour. And it actually looks like a Tuba too, lol. That's some alcoholic drink, and it's father's favorite. He often get home knocked out because he drunk too much. Sometimes his friend will just bring him home, unconscious and drunk to death. Those are my memories of him, aside him from being a baker.
Anyway, that's all. Even though the weather is really hot, thanks to their man-made tent, we are protected from the raging sun. \(^o^)/
