A Happy Meal and a Happy Moment: Tasty Misua Soup with Egg and our Homemade Sweet Bukayo for Dessert
It's nearing lunchtime, but I'm still too lazy to prepare anything. Even the oldies are not asking me to go to the market, it's usually Mommy F who initiates it, but this time, she's just as quiet as I am. The truth is, she's experiencing arthritis again, and with that, there are a lot of foods that she has to avoid. Having arthritis is really not easy, but Mom is at fault too because instead of avoiding the foods that are not allowed for her, she will eat them more, she's really makulit. Aigoooo
Anyways, It's already time to cook rice so I prepared it quickly. While waiting for it to boil, I went to where the oldies was and asked them if they want boiled egg, that time, boiled egg is the only food i'm craving. So I asked them if they want it too. But Mom want's something with soup so she asked me if i could cook the egg with Misua or wheat vermicelli. I didn't know we still have it in the house and i'm too lazy to visit the store, so I feel like not doing it. But then Mom pointed where the misua was, and I immediately get it to prepare it. Lol

So here it is, making it is really easy, I just sautee the onion and garlic, and coz we still have leftover chicken adobo from dinner, I also include that to our Misua Recipe and that actually gives more flavor to the dish. After sauteeing everything, I just put two cups of water in it and let it boil. I then added salt, pepper and magic sarap in it to make it more tasty. That's also when I added the three egg and I didn't scrambled it I put it whole. Once the eggs done, I transfer it into an empty bowl and put the misua last.

And it's done, we had an enjoyable lunch despite the simplicity of our lunch. And seriously, that's actually make it more yummier.

So what's next after lunch? It's dessert time! Mommy made a "Bukayo" using mature coconut, she cook it with sugar. It taste really good, but so sweet. I couldn't eat a lot of it but I enjoy it. This sweets is only good to have every after meal.

Then in the afternoon, I suddenly craved Siomai so I went to a siomai shop with Mama. It's my treat buy, but Mama wants something else. She said Siomai is too small for her, one order of siomai is 30 pesos for 4 pieces. It's small, so for Mama it's really not enough. But for me, who love to pair Siomai with Rice, that's already more than enough. And Mama chose Maruya for her snack.

I only got three order of Siomai, the flavor is Sharkfin and Japanese. I actually like the Japanese more than than Sharkfin, Japanes flavor is that with color black in it. And of course I paired it with rice, hihi.

And here the Maruya, actually this is mine, I decided to buy too after seeing the Maruya mama bought. It's still hot and the banana is not overripe so it taste so, so good. I had two kind of merienda, gosh I am so matakaw! Lol. But well, I enjoyed my it alot, so are the Oldies and Mama ♪ \(^ω^\ )

Matagal na rin 😭…wala masyadong mabili sa market
Misua is one of my comfort food especially on rainy days, BUKAYO is very good to make filling for slice bread or a burger ban.
The best, during rainy season ✨. I haven't really tried eating it with bread 🤔
