Lost Magic Ruleset | Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! Splinterlands
Hello everyone, I hope everything is going well in your life. Welcome to my Battle Mage Secrets post. In this post, I will talk about the Lost Magic Ruleset.

In battles with the Lost Magic Ruleset, Monsters with Magic attack may not be used. Therefore, Melee and Ranged Attacks can be used in this ruleset, and taking precautions against them will give your team an advantage. Additionally, Units with 2 types of attack (which include magic) cannot be used in battles with the Lost Magic Ruleset.
Thorns and Demoralize abilities are very useful for countering melee attacks.
When a Monster with the Thorns Ability is hit with a Melee attack, does 2 Melee damage back to the attacker. Additionally, when Thorns are used together with Amplify, Melee Attack Monsters take +1 more damage from Thorns. By the way, Reflection Shield Ability prevents Melee Units from taking damage from Thorns.
Demoralize Ability reduces the Melee attack of all enemy Units by 1. Therefore, if you include it in your lineup against Melee attackers, friendly monsters will take less damage from melee attacks. Demoralize cannot reduce melee attacks to 0, but attacks can be reduced to 0 when combined with Lookout and Shield.
Return Fire and Headwinds abilities are very useful for countering ranged attacks.
When hit with a Ranged attack, Monsters with Return Fire Ability will return half the damage (rounded up) back to their attacker. Additionally, when Return Fire are used together with Amplify, Ranged Attack Monsters take +1 more damage from Return Fire. It is a very useful combo against ranged attack monsters.
Headwinds Ability reduces the Ranged attack of all enemy Units by 1.
Since Magic units will not be used in battles with the Lost Magic Ruleset, it increases the likelihood that your opponent will depend on melee and ranged attacks. Therefore, the abilities I mentioned above may be very useful to you in this ruleset.
Additionally, Shield Ability reduces damage taken from Melee and Ranged attacks by 50%. And with the Blind Ability, you can increase the likelihood that your opponent's melee and ranged attack Monsters will miss their targets. Plus, if an enemy misses a Monster with the Backfire Ability, the attacker takes 2 Melee damage. Additionally, Armor is very useful against melee and ranged attack monsters, so you should consider extra armoring of friendly monsters.
Above, I mentioned some of the abilities I use most in battles with the Lost Magic ruleset. I hope it will be useful to you.

- Ferocity: All Monsters have the Fury ability.
- Lost Magic: Monsters with Magic attack may not be used in battles.
- Even Stevens: Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles.
According to the rulesets of the battle, in this battle, all Monsters will have the Fury Ability, Monsters with Magic attack may not be used, and only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used. Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player, I was almost sure that there would be a Monster with the Thorns Ability in the opponent team's first position, so I took this into consideration when determining my strategy.
In this battle, my primary goal will be to destroy the opposing team's back line, as I think there will be powerful Monsters in the opposing team's front lines, and if I can achieve this, I believe I can win this battle. I will use 2 Sneak Monsters with Double Strike Ability, this way I plan to destroy the opposing team, starting from the last position of the opposing team. And in the first position, I will put Djinn Chwala, who has Thorns Ability and Enrage Ability. Djinn Chwala can both cause melee attack monsters to suffer and also attack the target brutally.

I choose Helios Matriarch as the Summoner because I want to use a Gladiator card and Earth Monsters as well as Dragon Monsters in battle. Additionally, thanks to the Helios Matriarch, all monsters in my team will have +1 speed.

In the first position I put Djinn Chwala with Thorns and Enrage abilities at level 4. In addition to being able to attack the target powerfully, Djinn Chwala also causes melee attack monsters to suffer, thanks to its Thorns Ability. Additionally, when its Enrage Ability is triggered, it can attack the target much more brutally.

In the second position, I put Katrelba Gobson, who has Bloodlust, Sneak, Double Strike and Snare abilities at level 5. Katrelba Gobson is a very powerful Gladiator, especially when it starts destroying its targets, it becomes much more dangerous for the enemies. I added it to my team because I believed it would be very effective in this battle.

In the third position, I put Dhampir Infiltrator, who has Sneak, Double Strike and Cripple abilities at level 5. My goal was to destroy the opposing team's backline, starting from the last position with Katrelba Gobson and Dhampir Infiltrator, and then destroy the Monster in the first position.

In the fourth position, I put Fungus Fiend. The most important reason why I added Fungus Fiend to my team is that it costs 0 mana. In low-mana battles, it is really advantageous to have 0-mana cards.

In the last position, I put Naga Assassin with the Backfire Ability. Naga Assassin costs only 2 mana and has 6 speed and the Backfire Ability at level 5. I put it in the last position, especially considering that the opposing team might have Sneak Monsters with melee or ranged attacks.
If the mana cap of the battle was 30 or above, I would definitely include at least one of the Protect and Repair abilities in my lineup.
You can watch the entire battle from the video or from the Battle Link
Round 1
In fact, the opposing player's strategy was also quite good, and if I had only targeted the Monster in the first position, it would have been very difficult to win this battle. But fortunately I didn't do this.
In the very first round, Katrelba Gobson and Dhampir Infiltrator ruined almost all the plans of the opposing player. Dhampir Infiltrator destroyed Ravenhood Warden, while Katrelba Gobson destroyed Supply Runner. Additionally, Katrelba Gobson got +1 to all its stats for destroying its opponent. Additionally, Djinn Chwala became enraged and more dangerous to its target.
Round 2
At the start of the second round, Katrelba Gobson destroyed Weirding Warrior and once again got +1 to all its stats. And now the opposing team's backline was very weak. Even though Cursed Windeku had the Heal Ability, Djinn Chwala's enraged attack and thorns ability caused it to take serious damage.
Round 3
Katrelba Gobson became more dangerous to the enemies as it destroyed its targets, and at the beginning of the third round, Katrelba Gobson destroyed both Riftwing and Corpse Fiend and got +1 to all its stats twice more. And Djinn Chwala attacked brutally, destroying Cursed Windeku, and my team was able to win this battle.
The battle lasted 6 rounds and my team managed to win this tough challenge. To be honest, I didn't expect to win this battle so easily, but my strategy worked quite well and it was quite easy for my team to achieve victory. The fact that I put Djinn Chwala with Thorns and Enrage abilities in the first position and including 2 Monsters with Sneak and Double Strike Abilities in my team worked very well in this battle. Additionally, Katrelba Gobson had both Bloodlust and Snare abilities, among its other abilities, so it was much more effective in this battle. I especially like the Snare Ability because it doesn't miss flying monsters, and the fact that a gladiator like Katrelba Gobson has the Snare Ability makes it very special for me. I can say that Katrelba Gobson is my most used gladiator card and it helps me a lot in winning many battles. I recommend you to watch this very interesting and challenging battle from Battle Link. I hope you will like it.
